I like how ADB needs to attack people for not liking what he likes, as if it's some fault of their's. Couldn't possibly be they don't just like it...
Raven Dark's Berustet av Kriegsdronnet was very impressive
wish I knew more BM like the final track |
Interested in getting started in black metal, but I have no idea where to start. Anyone willing to give some recs?
Walknut - Graveforests and Their Shadows Darkthrone - Transylvanian Hunger Bathory - Blood Fire Death To give an idea of some of the different approaches to bm. |
I'd also add:
Mayhem - Deathcrush Emperor - In The Nightside Eclipse You know, so he can get a glimpse of the really raw stuffs and the really cheesy stuffs too. |

Still a good starting point if you need higher production values and more melody going on. |
Deathcrush is mad relevant
Thanks Bleekill, Haz, Yuri, and Mappy. Checking these out once they downlload
anyone here dig hate forest
Liked the bathory and Burzum that was recommended. Accidentally downloaded the s/t Burzum album and listened to it first and it wasn't as good. Halfway through Filosofem right now and it's a lot better

Yeah, I used to love Emperor when I was first getting into BM. Blut Aus Nord and Sargeist are good starting bands imo. |
Thanks again for the suggestions gonna listen to the recommended albums first then maybe ask for some more later...

Nitberg's Nagelreid was pretty good
anyone here dig hate forest
Yeah, Battlefields and Purity are great. So does anyone like the new Taake? |
Yeah, Battlefields and Purity are great.
So does anyone like the new Taake?
didnt know they had a new one out. theyre usually pretty consistent; ive dug all their prior releases so this one should be tight |
i havent listened to taake in forever. pretty damn good old material but havent really wanted to hear any new stuff from em
Nitberg's Nagelreid was pretty good
compared to like a blaze above the ashes or berustet av kriegsdronnet its p much poopish and irrelevant |
by a negligible amount, maybe
a blaze and berustet are both masterpiece bm albums, nagelreid is like c tier stuff
eh i feel like blazebirth is really hit or miss
anything from forest or raven dark is at the very least, solid if not good, branikald and those other bands are def hit or miss (mostly miss)
yeah ive gotten a lot of stuff from all of them and people were cumming on albums that really really suck
anyone who likes blazebirth hall stuff should check out old wainds, their first demo sounds p much like a bbh album but with some wind noises here and there (they are mad sparse with those shits) so get that shit faggots
