For all you scholarly types that care about reading for real I recommend "How to be Alone" by Jonathan Franzen very much. I just finished it and I can say I'm moved.

-Choke
-Lullaby
-Survivor

i have the other ones but have not gotten around to reading them yet.

and Stranger Than Fiction is not a novel, it's more a collection of essays and intrerviews and that sort of thing.

The Handmai's Tale - Margaret Attwood. Not a pleasant read, but interesting for those who like to have something to think over :thumb:

Paul, it's a collection of essays that deal with the loss of privacy and the state of fiction in the United States. It's obviously non-fiction, but great to read and very interesting and stimulating to read(even though my descrition makes it sound dry and boring). You will thank yourself for having read it.

i should really get around to reading Ullyses by Joyce but i'm too snowed under with reading at the moment. and i always get put off for some reason

i'm not too keen on feminist literature full stop but thats just me
