DepthsOfDreams555 11-01-2005 05:59 PM

I'm listening to The Used a lot lately.

B 11-01-2005 06:01 PM

I used to all the time. I haven't much lately.

Mute Print 11-01-2005 06:03 PM

I haven't listened to them in a while, but I used to quite a bit. I've even seen them live twice.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-01-2005 06:04 PM

I used to listen to them a lot too and I just started like a week ago and I am liking listening to it again.

They remind me of someone too much so I have a hard time lstening to them :(

DepthsOfDreams555 11-01-2005 06:14 PM

I really like their first album. Blue and Yellow is such an amazing song.

Mute Print 11-01-2005 06:18 PM

Heh, it's a pretty cool song. I've never heard the original version, but the Used to a good job with it.

I've never heard their newest album. From the singles I've heard, I don't care to. I'm going out now. Later guys.

NOW YOU'RE DOING THE WALTZ WITH YOUR MURDERER

wtf no caps

Gnarmageddon 11-01-2005 06:35 PM

I listened to old Norma Jean the other day. It's good stuff.

Yeah, it is.

I'm seeing them with As I Lay Dying in December. It should be a good show, but I have a feeling there will be 100's of "scene" kids...

Yeah, I'm reminscing too. You say that like new Norma Jean is bad though which is not true at all.

Because Minutemen > You.
Yeah, I'm reminscing too. You say that like new Norma Jean is bad though which is not true at all.
Meh, I never really listened to it that much. I should give it another chance.

Funny story. I went to a show a while back, and the background was music was "Memphis Will Be Laid To Waste." I swear to you, there wasn't a single person in the whole place that wasn't singing along to the bridge part where the guy talks/screams.

Mute Print 11-01-2005 06:41 PM
Because Minutemen > You.
I downloaded two of their albums, but haven't listened to them. Maybe I will now.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-01-2005 06:41 PM

Never listened to em...

Gnarmageddon 11-01-2005 06:43 PM

They play the Jackass theme.

And they're pretty much the best band ever. They're different, but catchy as hell.

Brian: What two albums?

cbmartinez 11-01-2005 06:45 PM

This one Norma Jean song is so goddamn long.

Double Nickels On The Dime, and I can't find the other one. I'm almost sure I have a second one though.

Meh, they were alright, nothing to write home about.

Brian: DNotD is their best anyways.

I'm falling in love with the Suicide Machines and the Explosion.

That is all.

Permanent Solution 11-01-2005 06:54 PM

Hey Mark.

The Explosion eh? For once I discovered a band before they started getting big, hurrah!

Gnarmageddon 11-01-2005 06:54 PM

Suicide Machines are great. I downloaded Black Tape off of Vince, and I didn't like it at all.

Oh yeah. Hey Mark.

DepthsOfDreams555 11-01-2005 06:55 PM

Alrighty I am going to go watch some T.V. Peace!

They're great. I've played them on back to back weeks on my radio show.

The Least Worst of the Suicide Machines is a good album, as is A Match and some Gasoline. I've played them 3 weeks in a row.

I think the vocals are the best part...it's so much more old school Punk style. But yeah, that's what stands out about the band so fair 'nough.
They're great. I've played them on back to back weeks on my radio show.

Yeah, and I think it's pretty competitive since the school is so huge. I'm crossing my fingers though. I wish I could just do that. :(

Yeah our school is big on getting everyone hands on as quick as possible. Last year as a freshman I had an FM show for half the year, and for my video projects I could go and rent out $4000 cameras to use for free. We've got top of the line equipment and software (Nicecast, Pro Tools, etc) and I get to play with it all.

P.S I highly suggest everyone check out my pirate pic in the picture thread.

That sounds awesome. My school is all for hands on applications, but there's a huge demand for it so you usually can't do it until later on. And of course the first step is the hardest. I don't do video much, but I really want to work at the radio so I hope it happens. I think it'll be great for opening the door for me as far as my career goals.
