Btw Jacaranda...are you a girl?
Thats a negator.
Haha, he's not a chick. Even though he listens to Madonna and Shakira :X
Low blow. I like Maiden, there nothing special to me but still decent. And hey same with the Boss, who could hate the Boss he's the Boss no one could dislike the Boss. If you dislike the Boss theres something wrong with you, the Boss is perfect. |
and i'm gonna send out a beck bootleg and one other one. YOU CHOOSE. YOU ALL OF YOU CHOOSE RIGHT NOW.
edit: damnit jacaranda. i cut you so bad you gon wish i dont cut you so bad. |
Yeah I need to see him live. My parents talk about how amazing he was all the time. I was alive the last time they went too, but only like 5 years old so they didn't take me:angry:
He'll be touring again in a couple years hopefully. I missed him this last one. Do you have the new Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition? If not, I'd highly recommend it, it comes with a 2 and a half hour DVD performance from '75 that is just awesome. Bruce was a legendary performer. I found it for 30 bucks too, which was a pretty good deal. It also has a d0cumentary of the making of the album which was pretty cool too. Good stuff.
Oh yeah, I'm going to pick that up. I wasn't so sure at first, since I own his entire catalogue. But PBS had a pledge drive a couple of weeks ago and Bruce let them use about an hour of the '75 concert footage and some excerpts from the Wings For Wheels documentary and now I am convinced. Really good stuff. And the live stuff is amazing. Skinny little Bruce in that big wool hat. And man, the band was stylish, weren't they? In those hats. Especially Little Steven and The Big Man. They showed Thunder Road, Tenth Anenue Freeze Out, Jungleland, Backstreets, Sandy, Born To Run, Rosalita, A Quarter to Three, and a few others. I taped it. I can't wait to see the rest. |
cockfight champion: it annoys me though. like when people say fark, though that might just be an aussie thing.
No worries mate. :thumb: I talk how I talk. You can call it retarded if you want, but anyone calls the way I talk retarded can expect a few jabs back. I like a lot of Bruce Springsteen, even the some of the cheesy Born In The USA stuff. He's not in the league of Waits and Dylan as far as storytelling goes but he's way above 98% of all the other cats that have written rock songs. Steve Earle is right up there too, probably getting more towards country territory than classic rock though. |

NP: Cream - Tales of Brave Ulysses
I think one of my friends had that one, or at least one from 1967, it was pretty good. Just the other day I got a Cream bootleg from MSG on the night I saw them in October, brings back a lot of good memories. |
I like Bruce. I haven't picked up any of his cds, but he is on the classic rock channel on digital cable a lot and from what I've heard from there hes pretty good. Whats a good place to start with him I should pick up one of his cds
In my opinion Born To Run is a good place to start. Then work back to his first two albums to understand where he came from and forward to understand where he was going. That's how I did it. Got Born To Run, and then just took in everything from his first album to Nebraska. In no particular order. |

Oooohh Buddy Guy 1967!
This Cream is taking forever. Hopefully it works right. |
He wasn't very good on Festival Express but he could have been too wasted. (which was probably the case)
You've got sooo much...umm...Robert Randolph would be nice. |
his playing was GREAT on festival express! his singing, however, was a different story.
i'll try to get that randolph up and i might do the buddy guy tomorrow. it's only one of 2 discs though. my computer died before i could convert the other one. |
Do any of you guys like Buddy Hollys Crickets?

Their one of those bands that I was glad went away, and now i wish they would go away again. But if Bono taught us one thing, its that you can become Time Magazines Person of the year either by owning monoplys or making crappy music. |
haha i dance around my house home alone to music all the time, and I live in the country?
have I danced naked.......well....:naughty: |
