I hate people. There is a speed limit. It's 55.
Not 75.
This fucking spatula on 31 was riding my ass when I was going 55. So, I got sick of him glaring and acting like a dickhole, so I sped up to about 65 when it was a dotted line, and slowed to about 25 when it was solid.

Finally I let him pass, and I blew him a kiss when he flipped me off.
It's always better to stop, as long as there's a steady stream of cars going the other way as well.

Aaron 10-10-2006 07:36 PM

Hey guys. howsit going? I'm in a really good mood for some reason.

We_Love_Lime 10-10-2006 07:40 PM

That's good.

I'm in a good mood too.
Sorta, I had a white head.
And those are always fun to pop, and watch the white ooze come out. and It was cool, because apparantly my face is really dirty, because a lot came out. Oh dude it was great.

Oh and I realsied Stevi denied me for a Mexican who can't speak English.
Instead of kicking myself in the *** for being denied for a guy who can't communicate with her, I'm laughing histerically inside.

It's great.
She has to get his friends to translate what she says, and than they translate what he says back.

People are such retards.

Win A Rabbit 10-10-2006 07:43 PM

My friend got me hooked on Solitaire Showdown over msn.

Well I wouldn't say I'm hooked, but she always wants to play it with me, and I can never turn it down. I'll be in the middle of doing something and we'll start playing and that's all I focus on.

It's actually a pretty decent game, especially being based off of Solitaire.

Aaron 10-10-2006 07:45 PM

Yeah I love card games. I think i'm the only 20 year old bloke who plays bridge

We_Love_Lime 10-10-2006 07:46 PM

My grandma plays bridge.
Hey guys. howsit going? I'm in a really good mood for some reason.
Pfft, you people and your good moods.

Actually I'm not in that bad of a mood today, except I feel kinda sick and I didn't sleep well last night so I'm super tired.

I really wish that my copy of the audio of the big band I played with this summer would hurry up and get here. It was supposed to come sometime this month I think, and I really want to listen to it. I'm so impatient :upset:.

Aaron 10-10-2006 07:48 PM

I bought 5 hours of Gene Krupa and 3 hours of Dave Brubek for $20. 8 CDs for $20!

We_Love_Lime 10-10-2006 07:51 PM

White Riot! 10-10-2006 07:52 PM

Electric Requiem 10-10-2006 07:56 PM

Think I read Googles net worth is 123 billion.
I dont like Adrian Belews Voice.
And thats the third time Ive noticed that travis barker thing posted here.
Im in a pretty good mood right now, I get pretty mellow when I dont get enough sleep.

Bought a black sabbath and a stevie ray vaughan dvd last week for 10 each, SRV is easily my favorite guitarist. He makes much better use of dynamics then other contenders like Jimi Hendrix.

Sunshine 10-10-2006 08:10 PM

I went to an interview at Target today 'cause they were having the job fair.

I really hope I get this job, I'm tired of being rejected...and yeah, I remember, follow up and all, but Target's different. If they don't call you in 3 days, you didn't get the job. Most people get called the day after they apply, but because of the job fair [and, therefor, the 50 bazillion people who showed up] it should be 3~5.

A_Guy 10-10-2006 08:46 PM

I don't feel like meaking a thread about this so I'll post it here.

I bought some Evans G2 Coated heads and put them on last saturday. Yesterday, I retuned them and played some more (about 45 minutes). When I got home today, I sit down and play, and they start to dent. They weren't any looser than they have been, but just to be sure, I tighten them some more, but they still dent. What's going on?

ofDooM 10-10-2006 08:50 PM

how tight is the head?

hows your technique?

this shouldnt be happenning usually.

Aaron 10-10-2006 08:50 PM
from the same chick aaron?
Nah nah. Saw her yesterday and she gave me a smile though, lol.

Can someone do me a favour? Can you tell me the file name for Windows Media player so I can search for it. Damn work computers have 12 drives and it's impossible to find something unless its in your start-menu. Good thing is that they're runing at 3.8Gh with 3 Gb so they're fast as fack.

A_Guy 10-10-2006 08:53 PM
how tight is the head?

It's not too tight, I can push it in a bit without too much pressure. How much would technique affect it, because I can hit the head really hard without doing a thing, but they still show up in playing sometimes.

Quinto 10-10-2006 08:56 PM

did you seat the heads?

the evans heads need to be seated, they loosen over night, it happened with my ec2's, i didnt have time to seat them, and i left them unset, after playing them over night, and the heads were wrinkled.

seat them

Seat them as in while tuning them? Because I did... I think.

Loyton 10-10-2006 09:04 PM

Has anyone here played the musashi snare personally?

Futuro 10-10-2006 09:05 PM
Has anyone here played the musashi snare personally?
Yeah. I was about to buy one.

Loyton 10-10-2006 09:08 PM
Yeah. I was about to buy one.
So you like it? I'm considering getting a 13x3.5 black panther steel and a 13x6.5 musashi.

Aaron 10-10-2006 09:09 PM

I'm thinking of getting a 6x14" BP Cherry, I think that's the dimensions..

Quinto 10-10-2006 09:24 PM

yeah, like u tune them way up, and then way down or w/e, its in the tuning bible.

Check your tom angles. They should be angled towards you some. They should be set up so you can easily rimshot off them if you need but regular strokes can easily be executed without accidentally rimshotting.

Sync0pation 10-10-2006 10:23 PM

Rimshot on toms? You guys rimshot on toms? I never do that...never tried. I know it's possible but I didnt know people did it on a regular basis

White Riot! 10-10-2006 10:28 PM

drop your strainer and rimshot.......notice the aural difference.

thats the same aural difference it will make when you rimshot a tom

Sync0pation 10-10-2006 10:33 PM

I will try that out. The rim sound is a lot more pronounced but I guess if its for accents it's all good.

Aaron 10-10-2006 10:35 PM

Rim shot on tom = + Attack/ - Tone, IMO

Sync0pation 10-10-2006 10:37 PM

^yeah that makes sense. the toms flutter a bit when you rimshot them

ofDooM 10-10-2006 10:38 PM

i rimshot on toms when i want that flutter.

Cocaberry 10-10-2006 10:39 PM

I rimshot toms sometimes, not very often though.

Aaron 10-10-2006 11:09 PM

Just bought the coolest book [with an Opeth DVD]: A biography of JH Bonham written by his brother Mick.

Brokensticks 10-10-2006 11:49 PM

Sweet, how is it?

Sunshine 10-11-2006 12:31 AM

I freaking love people.

Especially the "bad" ones who I shouldn't be hanging out with.

If I had no morals, I'd probably be a whore.

...damn. My bra smells like smoke. It went all the way through my clothes =/

Aaron 10-11-2006 01:08 AM
Sweet, how is it?
Excellent. Lots of interviews and stuff with people like Carmen Appice and other famouse guys, of course lots of photos [2/3 on every other page]. It's really candid with lots of interview quotes and his brother discecting what Bonham was saying. Really positive book.
