I gave up learning driving. I'll probably try again during me gap year - on an automatic, this time.

Patrick O))) 06-23-2006 06:46 AM

Clockwork not doing it for you, eh?

Lord Abortion 06-23-2006 06:49 AM

I'm planning to learn to drive next summer, when I get back from uni.

I need a job:(
Same here. I feel sorry for pedestrians.
Dont worry, we get revenge by pressing the button at the lights after we've crossed :p

I hate drivers around my town, thats why im not bothering with driving. Plus everything I need is walkable/public transport accessible

jpshortstuff 06-23-2006 06:52 AM

i dont really see the point in getting a moped when you're 16, unless you're going to stay on bikes a lot. i mean some people in my year were 16 in Feb/Marh kind of time, but they didnt start learning or riding until now cus of exams and parents not wanting them to die without GCSEs, but in half a year they'll be able to drive a car anyways. seems like a waste of money to me.
Also: some people hardly use them. this one guy got his a few months back and he said he use it to come to school every day. hes used it 2 times for school because everyone asked him to go to mcdonalds at lunch.

cars ftw

Patrick O))) 06-23-2006 06:52 AM

I want to learn to drive purely so that when I give someone a lift somewhere I can listen to my music and seem awesome at the same time

AG 06-23-2006 06:58 AM

To be honest, having a super fly sound system in my car is the biggest selling point of driving.

Patrick O))) 06-23-2006 07:00 AM

Exactly

It is. Unless like me you have a company car and can't do anything about its already crap sound system.

I mean really. Who would want that.

People suck at not informing me

Qwacky was cool, mispelt and made up. Plus its the smear on Med's record. The mod who killed a duck

GurS 06-23-2006 07:09 AM

Major downside of driving: you watch other people getting drunk and take them home. If you don't drive, then YOU get drunk & other people take you home. :D

GurS 06-23-2006 07:09 AM

Qwacky, ducky, same difference, you knew what i meant :p

Just goes to show, really, mods too have feet of clay.

NP: Blur - Theme from Retro

AG 06-23-2006 07:27 AM

I can't believe you can spend £49.95 on a yoyo.

/buys one for £5.95

GurS 06-23-2006 07:29 AM

At 49.95, it had better be the BEST YOYO IN THE WORLD. That dispenses Doctor Pepper & Trebor extra strongs. And pleasures you.

ESPECIALLY pleasures you.

NP: Blur - Look Inside America

AG 06-23-2006 07:32 AM

Apparently it is the best Yoyo in the world.

Meh, If I ever get good enough, I'll buy one.

And the pleasuring? Satisfying or average?

PAJJ 06-23-2006 07:40 AM

Hey UKMX

Zowe: I'm sure you'll get in to uni, but i understand, i've had the whole, if i don't expect, i can't be disapointed attitude for ages.

Firecraker: Hey Dorset Girl , will whore band when has time to listen later, liking it has Maiden Influence \m/

JF: <3 MST3K, which i could watch it now :(

Others: Hi, have job, knows how to drive (IMO it's over rated, and expensive)

Right have to go back to work

The job or the care? :P

Also, AG (Aiden, right?), that would be a waste of 45 quid. BIG time. You could get three behringer pedals for that money :o

NP: Blur - Essex Dogs

2muchket! 06-23-2006 07:49 AM

That reminds me I'm meant to be saving for a better amp :(

Meh
I bought a Yoyo and a trick book and it should come to under £10 delivered.
Good man.

Now, you know what would be cool?

Tie a poi around the headstock of your guitar, and try and do all your fancy poi tricks whilst playing guitar (except, ovi, the poi being attached to your headstock rather than yoru hand)

NP: Pink Floyd - Matilda Mother

AG 06-23-2006 08:23 AM

That would be cool.

I'm soaking my fire poi in paraffin for a couple of hours, then I'm gonna light em up and have a quick spin.

I'll do it when dad's in though, so he can put me out if I set on fire.

Phill 06-23-2006 08:29 AM
I'll do it when dad's in though, so he can put me out if I set on fire.
Make sure you get it filmed.

Yoyo's are so cool. I have a glow in the dark pro-yo II Somewhere.

PAJJ 06-23-2006 08:31 AM

Video of you when you set yourself on fire AG?
The job or the care? :P

I need mine. I live 30 minutes away from my nearest town and at least 10 minutes away from my school and all my friends. People that live in towns don't need one, but since I live in the countryside, it's the only thing that can get me around. We don't have frequent buses and nowhere is walking distance.

Anyway I have finished all my exams :D:D I think they've gone pretty well in general *crosses fingers*
