I love them. I only have Surrealistic Pillow though, can't find Bless It's Pointed Little Head or After Bathing at Baxter's.

Indeed it is. Close to the Edge, Fragile, and The Yes Album are all masterpieces.
I'll send out Bless It's Pointed Little Head on the YSI list when my good computer gets fixed.

This computer has no music on it at all. The other one has like 14 days worth. :(

magicbus 01-03-2006 06:38 PM
Where do you work?
Well I worked at Caribou Coffee (I'm not sure if they're nationwide, it's a coffee shop) but yesterday was my last day until I get back.

I don't know if I could choose a favorite Beatles album, but the progression might go something like this:

Revolver > Abbey Road > The White Album > Rubber Soul > Sgt. Peppers > MMT > Let It Be
I'll send out Bless It's Pointed Little Head on the YSI list when my good computer gets fixed.
Sweet.

Broken Arrow 01-03-2006 06:48 PM
Sweet.
I'd say.

I'd also say:

Abbey Road>Rubber Soul>Revolver>MMT>White Album>Sgt. Peppers>Let it Be

It's probably just a Rubber Soul phase I'm going through it might go behind MMT if it wasn't my current favourite.

Glitterati 01-03-2006 06:59 PM
What do you think of Revolver?
If that was directed at me, I think it's pretty good. My favorite is Taxman.

zabbit82 01-03-2006 07:05 PM
If that was directed at me, I think it's pretty good. My favorite is Taxman.
My favorite also. I love that whole album, I think it's thier best.

clown_phobia 01-03-2006 07:09 PM

I really like let it be/naked but I just dont think it's nearly as good as rubber soul/sgt. peppers/abbey road etc

jpj 01-03-2006 07:09 PM

I think She Said, She Said might be my favorite on Revolver. Eleanor Rigby, Taxman, and I'm Only Sleeping are all 5 star song too though.

Seafroggys 01-03-2006 07:10 PM

i love drum solos....then again, I am a drummer

Keith Moon always did solos, what you talking about? Every single song, for the entire duration of the song, was a drum solo :thumb:

zabbit82 01-03-2006 07:13 PM
I think She Said, She Said might be my favorite on Revolver. Eleanor Rigby, Taxman, and I'm Only Sleeping are all 5 star song too though.
That song has been stuck in my head for days now. Tomorrow Never Knows and Got To Get You Into My Life are five star songs as well.
Keith Moon always did solos, what you talking about? Every single song, for the entire duration of the song, was a drum solo
Pretty much. I was just listening to Who's Next and it seems as if the second half of Bargain is a drum solo to Keith.

clown_phobia 01-03-2006 07:22 PM

What I like about the who is how all of them are putting so much energy into their live performace.

BigTrav415 01-03-2006 07:36 PM

I finally gave in and just got a last.fm thingy...
http://www.last.fm/user/BigTrav

I've heard horror stories on here about it deleting its records and stuff, that sucks, but maybe they've sorted it out now :-/

I've decided I need some more Who, I only have... 7 songs by them, could I bum Live At Leeds off anyone? I want to see if their live shows are as awesome as they're all hyped up to be.

Broken Arrow 01-03-2006 07:38 PM

I have Live at Leeds on CD and Viynl, it's definetly my favourite Who album. The viynl has all this paraphenilia with it like a poster, pictures, and random pieces of paper.

Yikes! Only 7 songs...

You should bring this up in the Trading Albums Over AIM thread, somewhere in page 4, I think. I'd help you out on this but I lost that CD a while ago

BigTrav415 01-03-2006 07:46 PM

I would bring it up there, but my AIM has been gaying up on accountah my wireless internet (Not. Worth. It. At. All.) It keeps losing connection because the connection "skips" and crap like that, I wish I could find my good ol' reliable 25 ft. broadband cable and plug in so I can stop worrying about crap like that.

robo2448 01-03-2006 07:47 PM

Last.fm is taking over the world.

I also lost my Live At Leeds cd, around 3 weeks ago. Pissed me off. I still have it on my computer but it's a cd I really need to own a copy of.

I could maybe upload LAL or some other Who sometimes but not until Thursday at the earliest. Someone else should be able to hook you up though.

I could never rank the Beatles albums. I always end up changing them.

BigTrav415 01-03-2006 07:53 PM

Ha Robo, when I saw you were Latest Post in CR thread, I thought you were going to say something about my internet being very gay, since i'm always logging on and off when I'm trying to talk to you

If someone is feeling generous, I could also do with the whole Revolver, my sister has the CD somewhere but I don't feel like looking :p

np: Roundabout - Yes

According to Jack Black on School of Rock-
"Listen to the keyboard solo on Roundabout, it'll blow the classical music right out your butt."

I think he's right :x

Don't listen to him Robo, it's really cool looking, a great homage :)

...so... don't have much more else to say in this post...
:smoke: :smoke:  :die:

zabbit82 01-03-2006 08:04 PM

Christmas avatar? I like mine, I'll prolly keep mine for a few more days. We're still in the Christmas season anyhow.

I'll upload this for you. Do you have iTunes? Is .m4a okay with you, because I'm too lazy to convert it right now. :(

dood xmas is dun wtf

MBS 01-03-2006 08:25 PM

Wasn't it always considered bad MX luck to have your Christmas avatar AFTER Christmas?

6stringed 01-03-2006 08:40 PM

what does this have to do with Classic Rock? lol
Christmas Avators

anyways....on the radio they said that the darkness is the band that is keepin Classic Rock alive. I only think one song from them is classic rock and its the only song I like from them. "One way ticket to hell...........and back"

6stringed 01-03-2006 08:42 PM

i believe classic rock or rock in general has so much more history and meaning compared to the britney pop,rap crap.

Krabsworth 01-03-2006 08:42 PM

I thinke the Darkness are homos

clown_phobia 01-03-2006 08:44 PM

These bands that people say are keeping classic rock alive are so unoriginal. Jet, Wolfmother, The darkness etc...

Broken Arrow 01-03-2006 08:53 PM

Never heard of the second one.......?]

But to the other two, people say it but it's not happening.

blue3 01-03-2006 08:55 PM
I thinke the Darkness are homos
Hah, true. I've never heard of 'Wolfmother' either.

MBS 01-03-2006 08:58 PM

Jet steals songs from AC/DC and they rape babies.
And I changed my avatar for you Christmas haters.
Ironically, your usertitle says R.I.P John, yet your avatar is George Harrison.

Misleading? I think so.

ATM 01-03-2006 09:05 PM

Jet steals songs from Iggy Pop.

about as misleading as mine. which has actually confused people before...so maybe it IS misleading.

TheDMV 01-03-2006 09:13 PM

I thought Wolfmother was supposed to be pretty good. Sputnik had them rated rather high.

MBS 01-03-2006 09:13 PM
about as misleading as mine. which has actually confused people before...so maybe it IS misleading.
Maybe I should change my usertitle to... ELO fanboy?

JonG 01-03-2006 09:19 PM

Sorry 'wired, I seem to have deleted Buena Vista. I obviously didn't like it too much :x

Want anything else?

I'm starting to like Play Your Guitar Mr. Hooker a lot more.

Glitterati 01-03-2006 09:20 PM
I thinke the Darkness are homos
Well put.

I hate Jet. Lust For Life is basically the first thing that pops into my head when I hear them. And Iggy Pop is awesomer then awesome.

Live at Leeds really is an awesome collection. The Amazing Journey/Sparks is one of my favorite renditions.

JonG 01-03-2006 09:43 PM

I finally got videos to fully work. I got a couple Family Guy episodes and Fear and Loathing on my iPod so far. I'm downloading The Big Lebowski right now.

PinkFreud 01-03-2006 09:45 PM
