witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:11 PM

Yes.

Pete 03-10-2010 01:12 PM

sh¡t sounds good, melodic and whatnot

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:15 PM

Yah, and they have some grind-y parts.

2muchket! 03-10-2010 01:17 PM

Taking a listen on their myspace.

I am impressed actually.

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 01:19 PM
LINK
http://www.myspace.com/thedeepmusic Enjoy! We wrote the tunes on this myspace back in 2006, so that's why they may sound amateur-ish. The drummer and myself have another project in the works that's going to be frakking awesome.

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:22 PM

Pretty good.

These are the deathcore things me and my friends were doing back then. I did vox.

http://myspace.com/karlmarxband

Our recordings are nowhere near as good. :c

3rd song on the OTDB myspace is loooool bad, second song we ever wrote.

Pete 03-10-2010 01:23 PM

AHandfulOfSweatpants, what instrument are you?

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:24 PM

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:26 PM

I'm brutal because I listen to Daitro and Raein 24/7?

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 01:27 PM
wtf do you mean "pretty good" mappy, guy is putting you to shame

AHandfulOfSweatpants, what instrument are you?
Thanks! I play guitar, mostly lead. I also wrote 90% of the songs. The other guitarist was just there to provide harmony and drink the Keystone Light.

Pete 03-10-2010 01:27 PM
I'm brutal because I listen to Daitro and Raein 24/7?
oh i got it the other way around :3

no thats prty sensitive, we should instead have a diary writing workshop and make a collage
Thanks! I play guitar, mostly lead. I also wrote 90% of the songs. The other guitarist was just there to provide harmony and drink the Keystone Light.
You're ****ing good dude. I wish I knew someone with those chops who was still into metal in my area. :c

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 01:32 PM

Thanks guys! C'mon witch, there's gotta some 40 year-old there that goes into Guitar Center and lays waste to all the metal posers, right? One that everybody makes fun of but secretly marvels at his skill...

Endangered Oddity 03-10-2010 01:32 PM
This isn't a definitive list of deathcore.

This is just my preferences SON
Oh I see.Wasn't really paying attention.

Yeah he's not bad. Sounds more like straight death than deathcore though.

He should give his album to all of us for free

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:33 PM

I agree.

Not that I've noticed. But I'm a singer, so I don't go to guitar center much.

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 01:34 PM
haha, cool. exactly like my band then, except i drink all the beerz
Don't get me wrong, I love a good party. Check the pics, I'm the screaming one with the massive bags under my eyes. Those bags were there for both month-long tours we went on, hahaha. Bands get VIP treatment at house parties, which wasn't good for my liver.

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:35 PM

I wish I could tour, **** would be so fun. :(

on my bands first tour, we ended up at a house in rural Poland, and we the band had to buy these kids like two bottles ov vodka and three crates of beer, because they apparently though one bottle and one crate would be enough for 11 people

tour war/drinking stories

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 01:39 PM
I wish I could tour, **** would be so fun. :(
Far and away the best part of being in that band. I made so many amazing friends over the course of the three years that band existed.

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:39 PM

The best part to me is free shows haha (since I've never toured). I mean, playing shows in general rules, but when you get to open for Ion Dissonance and Shai Hulud and whatnot, it's so much better.

Mediafire link prease, I'll throw it up on my blog if you don't mind.

2muchket! 03-10-2010 01:47 PM

Yeah I just want to write some good tunes and play mad shows.

Looks like I might get it sorted too so I'm happy.

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 01:47 PM

Hell naw I don't mind, and I'm uploading to MF as I type this.

Lucky. My band's guitarist has spring break this week, but our drummer has it next week, so still no jamming until Summer I guess.

At least we'll have a **** load of songs (probably roughly 20 and not reaching 30 minutes) by then.
F uck my life, I would give anything just to SEE the band live, much less open for them!

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 01:50 PM

Word. Love them so ****ing much. That was the most intense show I've ever played, kids were ****ing knocking each other out during our set, it was awesome.

Oh and it was one of the few out of state shows OTDB played, and me and our drummer went to a 7-11 to get iced tea, and when we were on our way back to the venue we got stuck in the middle of a road blasting See You Next Tuesday's 2005 sampler while some black folks had a wedding and decided they should all swarm across the street and not let us get by.

Yeah me and phil have been trying to get something going for ages with a band, he got his mate from work listening to some legit metalcore so he's down, plus he's meant to be really good so I'm excited.

Just need to kick my other mate up the arse to practise drums more. Opening up for Shair Hulud would be insane too.

Endangered Oddity 03-10-2010 02:25 PM

Does anyone here listen to A Breath Before Surfacing and Belay My Last? and if so thoughts?

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 02:27 PM

My old band was pretty close with ABBS before they broke up, same goes for Belay. I'd have to say I like Belay a lot more than ABBS, though. They can be a little too breakdowny at times, but still have a unique enough sound.

Edit: Hmm, guess ABBS is back together.

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 02:56 PM

Never really listened to BML but ABBS is kinda meh idk.

AHandfulOfSweatpants 03-10-2010 03:02 PM

Yeah BML has a lot more to offer as far as interesting composition/dynamics.

xMalcolmXx 03-10-2010 03:04 PM

i used to like a BML song when i first started bleeding from every ****ing deathcore, but i haven't listened to them in like 2 years

witchxrapist 03-10-2010 03:08 PM

Pete 03-10-2010 03:21 PM

i think ABBS are pretty good, if you need more Within the Ruins-style dc

bloozclooz 03-10-2010 05:21 PM
i think ABBS are pretty good, if you need more Within the Ruins-style dc
ABBS? that's one thing i loathe about core, they're all like "we'vegotthislongassnamethatnoonecanreadbutitmakesusfeelcool"

then later i'm like dude have you heard WGTLANTNOCRBIMUFC's new album?

oh yeah, AKELDAMA.
