Are Ali/Bartender around?

I want to make sure that this is the format they want me to follow for the YSI thread

Now, my goal is to update every page, if this is the format you want me to follow. However, since I just got a summer job and I do not know how extensive my hours will be, I am not sure I will be able to update that way as regularly as I'd like.

Please give feedback, though, if that's the format you wanted.
Are Bartender/Ali around?
Nope, just us idiots.

CemetaryGates9 04-28-2005 12:16 PM

You all are pathetic. I actually supplied backing to my arguements, where as you jackasses just said things like "Because." I believe I won the arguement++.

Jom 04-28-2005 12:16 PM

MXican, did you not read my announcement from earlier?

Delete your post in the thread.

I think you're spoiling people, putting in the links to their requests. Still, your doing a great job.
You all are pathetic.
Way to lose any respect I had for you.

CemetaryGates9 04-28-2005 12:20 PM

I like the idea of putting the links in the update much better, so people don't have to look for the shit.

EDIT: I don't give half a fuck about your respect. You are fucking morons and it's undeniable. If I want to fantasize about raping and killing my peers, it's my fucking problem, and you little shitsticks are saying it's wrong and giving no logical backing whatsoever as to why.

I'm gonna go get some eats.
I think you're spoiling people, putting in the links to their requests. Still, your doing a great job.
Hey now, I wanted to keep updating like I was doing, but Ali had this brainstorm of an idea trying to make me look bad so I said that I would try it out once I came home for the summer.

Now that I'm going to be starting work soon, I am not sure I will be able to update like that... but we'll see, as soon as I get my hours in, I'll be ready to form an opinion.

I honestly thought that if people are so lazy as that they can't look back one or two pages for their songs, then I don't see why I would have to do it for them, but we'll try it out. It's still in its experimental stages :)

Surely it isn't that hard to check the new posts in the thread every now and then is it?
Now that I'm going to be starting work soon, I am not sure I will be able to update like that... but we'll see, as soon as I get my hours in, I'll be ready to form an opinion.
Seems like alot of extra effort. You're already making regular updates, and people should just be able to check the thread themselves. I mean, it's free music.

Yea that's pretty much what I was thinking, only have it in the first post. Kind of like Vince's concert thread.
I do realise how much of your time this'll take up though, but I was only trying to help :p

*starts a livejournal entitled The Joys Of Murder And My Adventures With A Girl Named Kristin*

Here is an xemocorex entry from random journal.

"3:15am: people think only of themselves
It sucks the way most people are. They only care about what they can get out of a person and seem to careless about how that makes the other person feel. My so called friend Robbie calls me as soon as im falling to sleep wanting something from me, but when i need somone to talk to and call him he seems to be to busy to talk or his mom is around, so i hung up the phone on him, and havent talked to him since. Ya know i just want somone who actually appreciates me and doesnt take what i do for them for greanted and for some reason i cant find that person. And if i think i do something bad happens and ruins everything. For example i had a big crush on Matt then he started making excuses as to why he didnt want to hang out with me and didnt want anything but a friendship becuz he just got out of a serious relationship then i find out a week ago that he now has a g/f. Then there is Mike, his excuses seem to be becuz of drugs. Then tommy just up and moved without saying bye. The hurtful things people do. They dont look around and see how there actions can hurt someone.

What im looking for in a guy:
I want someone who has unconditional love for me
Wants a family
Has ambition and goals and wants to succeed
Can make me laugh when im down

AS for looks i want someone who takes care of themself and dresses nice. I want someone to motivate me and work out with me so we can both stay healthy. And someone who doesnt eat a lot of meat...

Yes im picky i know but thats me though.
Current Mood: crushed "

So I've come to the conclusion people on this site don't believe anything constructive can be fun, or else they would participate. In conclusion...I've had a terrible day and I'm taking it out on the uselessness of people at this site. A lot of people aren't...and they know who they are...but so many people are, and it makes me a bit angry. Anyways I'm going to go distract myself. Bye.

What happened? I can be useful... in rare cases.

Permanent Solution 04-28-2005 03:40 PM

Things that should get a lot of posts/participation that don't:
FAs (about lesser known artists)
FGs
Good band threads like Jake's
My Concert thread
Forum bands
Forced Listenings

Mindless things that get an undue amount of participation:
Games
Flame threads
Contests (not the discussion, just the participation)
This thread
Official threads
Best/Favorite/Opinion threads

Yeah...That pretty much touches on everything wrong here.

munky_magik 04-28-2005 03:44 PM

With a place of this size not everyone is going to want to participate to a high degree. Alot of people just prefer mindless posting, where they don't have to think/learn and can just express their opinions continually.

[more substance]I placed an Amazon order tonight:
The Blind Watchmaker - Richard Dawkins, Woken Furies - Richard Morgan (books) and Everybody Jam - Scatman John (cd). Hopefully it'll arrive soon.

In other news, I'm off to bed. G'night everyone/anyone.

A quick question for everyone (including magik, if you haven't already gone); do you ever return CDs if you buy them and are disappointed with them?

Today I cycled towards the Olympic Swimming Pool, then I swam.

I almost feel .... Healthy :amaze:

I can't think of any store that take CD's back.

CemetaryGates9 04-28-2005 03:54 PM

I don't believe I've tried that. I wanna start shoplifting CDs, but I think if I start I won't be able to stop.

Well it takes a bit of deception. You can't just say "I don't like this, can I have my money back?". Something like it was a birthday present that you didn't really want, or you were buying it as an errand for someone, and got the wrong thing accidentallt.

superpeer 04-28-2005 04:09 PM

Hmm, but you get store credit, don't you? Or do you get your money back?

Anyway, I don't think I would do it anyway, you never know when you change your mind about CD's.

Bartender 04-28-2005 04:11 PM
Hmm, but you get store credit, don't you? Or do you get your money back?
Store credit would do me fine, I'd just get another CD or two for it.
Anyway, I don't think I would do it anyway, you never know when you change your mind about CD's.
Yeah, well usually I'd not think about taking it back either. But it's very different from what I thought it was going to be, and not very good at that, and (mostly) in a momentary blaze of idiocy (possibly connected to the excitement of going to see the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy later) I paid plenty more than I usually ever would for it.
