those are both nice, Kaisers Orchestra is a great abnd too. I was going to make a patch like that once but was struck by laziness.
Although I did make this:

patch + jacket were made by me. The only thing I screwed up was the zipper, because when I zip it up people can see all the black on one side so there's a big stripe of black up the front, but it's not bad for a first effort and for how little I followed the directions.
I like them. Where'd you get the directions?

AndreTheHyena 03-13-2006 03:58 PM

I had a pretty succesful first attempt at homemade rice milk, if anyone's interested. I'm not going to type it all out, in case no one cares, but holla if you do care and I'll come back and tell you all 'bout it 'bout it.

I'm not a big fan of fleece. I think that's what it's made out of, right?

that patch is really impressive.

real_low_mind 03-13-2006 06:19 PM

i'm trying to bleach my jacket so i can eventually dye it purple. [i think it's cotton, it's just a hoodie I bought at wal mart] i put it in the washer twice with bleach and used another half a bottle in the bathtub but nothing worked. is there anything else i can do or should i just get a gray one that might be light enough to dye?

laura

DaveToopes 03-13-2006 06:24 PM

I dunno, don't dilute the bleach?

me likes punk 03-13-2006 06:27 PM

Don't they sell purple sweatshirts at walmart?

DaveToopes 03-13-2006 06:37 PM

OH. MY. GOD. I can't even believe you!!

real_low_mind 03-13-2006 06:46 PM

1. i didn't!
2. they don't. least not the kind i'm looking for.

DaveToopes 03-13-2006 07:00 PM

I was suggesting that you do that.

wait....i mean...i DID....

update: now it's this weird brown/green color...it's not white, but i bet no one else around here has a jacket this color :p

ratsinthecity403 03-13-2006 10:41 PM
I like them. Where'd you get the directions?
it was at the fabric store - some pattern. the only important part is the pieces you cut out, the rest of the directions are more harm than good in my opinion.

The patch is silkscrened with photo emulsion stuff so thanks to all who said it was good. It better be, I ruined a screen for it.

You still bought it at Wal Mart....

Sebek 03-13-2006 10:51 PM

I just cut up my New York Dolls shirt to fit on the back of my leather jacket, since there were holes developing on it that were getting annoying to fix up all the time. I was waiting for either that shirt or my Angelic Upstarts one to break down so I could use it, this won.

I'll post pics sometime tommorow/soon if your interested. (It's only safety pinned for now though, I don't feel like trying to sew through leather or glueing it on TBH.)

i know. it was my last choice. you wouldn't believe how hard it is to find a regular old jacket anywhere.

I know this is cliche', but local thrift stores, and general junk-holes, have the best stuff, you just gotta look.

holy_roller99 03-14-2006 10:09 AM

i jsut finished off a subhumans patch, and a studded Bracelet. it is amazing what you can do with an old studed belt, an old dress suit belt and some fishing line.

POINTLESS5448 03-14-2006 10:12 AM

i tried to add some black studs to my suit jacket but the pointy things that hold it in dont go all the way through. i dont know what to do.

Thats awesome. Either of you mind if I do the same thing?

Oh, and pointless, do you mean that you cant get them through or the jacket is too thick for them to hold right? If they wont go through, common knowledge is that you could use a dart tip to make the hole. If its too thick....I dont know, but good luck.

Go f'rit. Incase you're wondering, I used acrylic paint and it seems to be holding up alright.

Just wondering wot you guys think about a patch with a combination of the red-black flag and the american flag. It whould have a circled A in the blue part of it. The red whould be in the regular part of the flag. While the black would replace the red on the bottom diagonal.confusing?? wot do you think and how whould i go about making it.

reason i asked was because im thinkin about making a patch of it, and putting it on an army jacket. or something.

edit: On a 2nd note, to stencil words and other things like that could you just tape down the words then spray paint over that.

edit:sorry about the spelling, fixed it all(i think)

Yea sorry about that. I read though it twice, and well im kind of not good at the whole spelling part of the english language. im trying though. sorry ill fix it.

Liebensaft 03-14-2006 05:28 PM

Unless you live in a country in which English is not your native language, or you have an extra chromosome, there's no excuse for having grammar as terrible as some of yours.

yea i deserve that. like i said im really sorry and i fixed most of it. (wot is my way of saying what{cause i mess up that word alot} so dont get mad at me for that).and i do make a concious effort to get my spelling correct.

anyways, can anyone tell me how to make the patch. is it just a white cloth, with red, black, blue stiched in to it. again sorry.

o also you may want to look at your post.

Liebensaft 03-14-2006 07:21 PM

To make a patch, you'd probably want to spray paint it or use fabric paint, unless you have a sewing machine and a lot of free time.

If you were trying to imply that there were grammar or spelling errors in my post, you'd be incorrect.

first off i would like to say thanks for answering my question. that really helps.

also on the english thing "grammar as terrible some of yours." does not make sense.(to me at lest). i fairly sure you should have an "as" between "terrible" and "some".

Liebensaft 03-14-2006 07:38 PM

Joe you're a f'ucking idiot.

DaveToopes 03-14-2006 07:43 PM

Umm Joe your post was not grammatically correct.

Liebensaft 03-14-2006 07:56 PM

Which is why it was edited. I hate making stupidass mistakes like that, like missing small words which throw off the whole sentence, especially at such inopportune times, like that one.

POINTLESS5448 03-14-2006 09:02 PM
