There's no shame in admitting it, diverse tastes are overrated.

Metal's my comfort zone but I always step outside it. I'm comfortable where I'm at right now musically. I can consider myself well versed in a particular genre (Metal) without being pigeonholed. Disagree or not, I think my tastes are fairly diverse so nanananabooboo?

It's true.

Most of my music probably is metal or some form of metal, but I'm starting to get into a lot of non-metal music.

That's cool dude it happens to everyone eventually.

I agree, if you don't like any form of music except metal(or any genre really), why force yourself to listen to it?

Like, I know Shadows (sorry to call him out) is strictly a metal guy, but he's fine with that. The day he forces himself to enjoy, let's say Power Pop, is the day he's compromised his integrity

I was mostly laughing at how out of place they seemed.

I really don't listen to that much metal anymore, as I'm currently more interested in classical and folk music. But I do of course still listen to my favorite metal bands.

Other than the Death binge last night, my last few days have been dominated by other stuff, mostly Against Me! and post-hardcore.
