I don't know anything after Nightfall.

What do you think of Mercy (SWE), metal-militia? It was Messiah's band before Candlemass, I recommend you get Witchburner if you haven't already.
I haven't heard them but I will check them out.

I like Ancient Dreams, but no where near as much as the first two.

I don't think Mercy is anything special but, again, I'm not a huge fan of Messiah.

Mike: Ancient Dreams is great. Same for Tales of Creation.

Anyone else really love Reverend Bizarre? Never really hear them talked about in here.

Kage 07-23-2007 08:00 PM

I've often talked about Reverend Bizarre, and yes they are awesome.

Eliminator 07-23-2007 08:01 PM

reverend boring

tbh

pate 07-23-2007 08:03 PM

They're excellent.

NemesisDivina 07-23-2007 08:07 PM

Anyone like 1000 Funerals? I downloaded Portrait of a Dream and it's really good stuff so far.

Txus 07-23-2007 08:08 PM

Reverend Bizarre are great, the new album is too ****ing long though :-\
the new album is too ****ing long though :-\
A big 123 to that.

Kage 07-23-2007 08:17 PM

I haven't heard the new album.

pate 07-23-2007 08:20 PM

There are like 8 tracks, and 6 of them are 30 minutes or more.

And the majority of each track is the same riff repeated.

NemesisDivina 07-23-2007 08:24 PM
I haven't heard the new album.
that Godspeed You! link you posted didn't work.

Txus 07-23-2007 08:26 PM

Burn In Hell! has to be one of the best Doom songs ever.

pate 07-23-2007 08:32 PM

Damn right.

yeah in the rectory = 666

Shattered_Future 07-23-2007 09:18 PM

In The Rectory is definately one of my favorite doom albums.

pate 07-23-2007 09:57 PM

It's definitely up there.

Nostalgia 07-23-2007 09:58 PM

When we all known Nightfall is probably there as well, with EDM BELOW IT!

TojesDolan 07-23-2007 09:59 PM
yeah in the rectory = 666
I must agree with you there. In the rectory of the Bizarre Reverend has some very nice moments.

NemesisDivina 07-23-2007 10:00 PM

Yeah. I'm gonna have to say that Nightfall seriously pwns Epicus... except for Solitude

Kage 07-23-2007 11:22 PM
Anyone like 1000 Funerals? I downloaded Portrait of a Dream and it's really good stuff so far.
Yes dude, this album rules. I stumbled upon it randomly on Metal archives and never looked back. Great, depressing atmosphere and a really unique sound. I love it. So dark and brooding.

NemesisDivina 07-23-2007 11:32 PM

A fantastic album indeed. When I first heard the name 1000 Funerals I thought it would be gay, but I listened to the music and it was phenomenal.

pate 07-23-2007 11:53 PM

:O Kage browses Metal Archives?!

Kage 07-23-2007 11:57 PM

nemesisdivina and I had a bit of an identity switch there, actually. He found them and macked 'em out to me and I liked them.

the2stranger 07-24-2007 02:55 AM

NemesisDivina 07-24-2007 10:30 AM
