Lol, he plays bass though and isnt 17, ahwell, people just presume things, i presumed medioplis(sp) was older then me, and when i first jioned i automaticaly thuaght there would be noone over 20 on here.

Should have the user's age/gender next to their name, save a lot of trouble and confusion

(and in the case of people in the pit, illegal perving)

Yea, i always thuaght some of the older members were 18-19 but there like 16. Cods is an MX god, but as his user title says "mx fallen start" i think yatty stole his light. I used to look up at cods, i wish everyone knew who i was :(

Hey, today was fun, i found a new fave shop, accadamy of sound in manchester, is teh secks, lots of guitars/basses, me and my best mate went in and started acting like kids in a candy shop, but didn try owt, as my other best mate was there and he hates all guitar things, but he was impressed by the shop.

Academy of Sound is the best chain of guitar/music shops EVER, there was a thread in the pit about it a while ago.
Go back and test stuff out next time, the uys at the one in Nottingham let you try anything in the store, hopefully they will do the same at yours

Yea i read that, then thuaght "theres one in manc, im gonna find it", but me and best mate looked a few weeks back and walked striaght past it, and didnt see it, :( But ive seen a load of gear i want, and im about to get a part time job and free money from collage so i can afford some new stuff. In dawsons were i usualy go they moan at me for trying stuff out becuase i dont buy anything but plectrums :lol:

Edit- Do you know whether theyll order stuff in for me, like a bass in a certian colour, colour means a lot to me, i know it shouldnt but i cant stand a lot of colours there is, like sunburst, black and wood ones. *has black bass now :( *

Well i've not had to ask for anything to be ordered in before (all my fave guitars are there at the moment, but another month till its buying time), but the staff there are helpful enough to do so, they did so with my amp, but that wasbecause they were out of stock.
I know that plectrum buying skit, my town's music store always sees me coming in, looking at equipment for 30 mins, then buying 2 plecs :lol:

Lol i owned a shopkeeper at dawsons once, i asked "can i have a go of that fender p please" and he said " are you actully going to ever buy anything" so i said "yea im buying some plecs later" he let me have a go then. But theres too basses i want, ones 650 and ones 350, i know ill end up with them both sooner or later but i dont one which to get first, also i seen a Ampeg 8x10 amp i want, its 1000, i want it so badly. I want **** load of effects too, and if i dont get famous and i buy all this stuff, theyll be trouble in these forums :lol:

You ever get the music store guy who will talk total crap, and see if you agree with him, to make you seem foolish? All the guys at my store seem like it, I went to buy a guitar lead, and they were making up all kinds of rubbish to get me to buy one that was double the price of one i was after.
Im slowly building up a rig though, effects are great. But like you said, iit better start paying me back one day!

He He yea, i told my band we WILL get big, there like, "itll take a lot of work" but i know, i realy want to make music in a crapy pop-punk band all my life, we need to sort drummer out, and my lead said itd be better if we didnt have rythem, and we can start to gig i hope, but im so determind to do it, people think i joke, but i think my mum accepted that im determind now, finaly.

I buaght a lead, and the shop guy told me its a realy good lead, and pros use it to record and stuff, but i wasnt bothered, i buaght it becuase it was pink.

Band confidence manager then? Im at that point now where I wish I could continue with music seriously, but at the same time, i really do need to be looking for a carrer. Maybe i could do an Offspring style deal, and be a smart *** with degrees, etc, but still be able to break awayfrommy job and lead a musicians life.

how easy is it to get a gig in manchester? Round here they wont touch you unless you do cover sets, which sucks
