Everyone seems to really like that album but I just can't get into it. The vocals really annoy me.

It's somewhat of an acquired taste IMO. When I first heard about Converge I was expecting them to be really great because of how hyped up they are but when I listened to them for the first time I thought “wtf is this crap”. Even now I still sometimes think to myself “why am I listening to these guys - this isn’t even real music” but every now and then when I get back from a long day of school or something and turn on some Converge it almost kind of relaxes me. IDK, I actually kind of have mixed feelings on bands like Converge/Pig Destroyer/Dillinger Escape Plan.
