As far as just looks go, I think some titaniums might fit that kit well too.

The dark-grey-with-white-specks bass drum head kind of kills its looks.

Don't matter what others think. I independantly think it's ugly. The fact other people think it's cool has nothing to do with it. I am not antagonizing another view, simply stating my own independant view.

Iron Butterfly is a good band. One of the many bands that is only labelled by one song, and everyone has no clue about any other of their songs.

Its a cool song, the solo in it is relatively easy but its hypnotic and sounds cool.

Neither, depends on the sound you enjoy and want.



There is no better or worse in such a choice. That said, the BP just cause it's not a tama...

I want a meaty snare sound with some good body and resonance--sort of a powerful rock snare sound. I have a Chad Smith sig now and it's got wonderful crack but not much body at any tuning. I want a more powerful snare sound.
