it wasnt really advertising, it's just it';s a pretty big release and it's been mentioned in the thread a few tiems so i thought some people woudl might want to have a read. it's not like i do it a lot.

and yeah theyre relatively new, released a demo in 08 and that full length a month or so ago. not entirely sure if you would like it though.

nice review. good job picking up the black metal influences which i never would have been able to do :p

yeah i wasnt sure about what to rate it, i was toying with a 9 or even a 9.1 but then i decided i liked the vasaeleth record better and i had given that an 8.8, so that's how i settled on 8.7

it's definitely a great album, one of my 2010 faves

the riffs are fucking incredible

the snare is the only really annoying thing, it's just too loud. but it's a minor quibble

maybe its the youtube quality but regardless the drums make the music unlistenable

the faceless and adversarial are incomparable so your point doesn't even stand

besides, it's not just the faceless' drumming that was awful

if you read my review, I say that if you can't hear the riffs then you aren't listening hard enough, or are just used to shitty death metal i guess
