i'm taking an advanced math intro course at the university here, and he melted my brain with calculus with complex numbers.

**** I don't even understand logs of complex numbers :(

math ****s with me. if i ever want to be a programmer i want to understand linear algebra and related subjects though.

Jaundice 02-11-2010 09:23 PM

i had a dream last night that my hippie ex girlfriend was trying to get back together with me

it was kind of random we were sitting in a hot tub and it felt nice

Moon Flavor 02-11-2010 09:24 PM

I'm pretty damn good at math stopped at pre-calc though. But I can't imagine it's that hard at least for me

P13 02-11-2010 09:24 PM

yeah hot tubs are pretty cozy

AA-12 02-11-2010 09:25 PM

i need to heat up our pool and go for a swim soon. i miss that.

Jaundice 02-11-2010 09:26 PM

i failed algebra in 8th grade, 9th grade, 10th grade, first year of college, and im taking it again this semester and failing again.

Let's just say math completely lost me at long division.

Moon Flavor 02-11-2010 09:26 PM

**** people that have warm enough weather for swimming right now

and **** you josh for not loving me like i need

edit: serious jaundice algebra is like the easiest ****

AA-12 02-11-2010 09:27 PM

since when do i not love you enough :( :(

masscows 02-11-2010 09:27 PM

my algebra professor freshman year thought i was a genius because i made up my own formulas for solving problems that were more efficient than the ones he taught because i never payed attention in class

my math teachers in high school thought i was a math genius too because i could solve multiple step problems in my head by guessing and checking different numbers really quickly. one of them deemed me unteachable though because i refused to show my work.

you're missing out with long division of polynomials! Synthetic division of higher than degree 1 polynomials is some fun ****

Jaundice 02-11-2010 09:28 PM

Synthetic Division ?

you mean the joy division tribute band me and that gothic girl talked about starting ?

Moon Flavor 02-11-2010 09:29 PM
since when do i not love you enough :( :(
idk man to be honest you just don't have the girth

P13 02-11-2010 09:29 PM

no, it's a shorter version of short division

jeez you don't know what's fun

Angmar 02-11-2010 09:29 PM

I took a pre calc class in high school probably the last math course I'll ever take.

/hates math

Jaundice 02-11-2010 09:30 PM

I always figured it had something to do with using technology to separate cells from each other , you know like genetic **** or something . Cloning.

but baby i cant help it

i do all those other things to make up for it too

plz just let us work this out

Moon Flavor 02-11-2010 09:30 PM

i don't understand math haters

like

would you rather be writing essays? **** you if you'd rather write an essay than solve a puzzle

P13 02-11-2010 09:30 PM

dude

like you refused to let me scat on you

how can i be with a guy like that

masscows 02-11-2010 09:31 PM
would you rather be writing essays?
it depends what the essay is about and what type of math we're talking about

sometimes writing essays is like solving a puzzle where you made all the pieces yourself

AA-12 02-11-2010 09:31 PM

science > math

AA-12 02-11-2010 09:32 PM

hmm

ill eat it next time

i promise

Jaundice 02-11-2010 09:32 PM

I hate math because once you get past the elementary basics you're essentially dealing with purely abstract concepts entirely rooted in their own logic with no basis in reality whatsoever.

P13 02-11-2010 09:32 PM

chem > math > physics > bio

imo

botb 02-11-2010 09:33 PM
I hate math because once you get past the elementary basics you're essentially dealing with purely abstract concepts entirely rooted in their own logic with no basis in reality whatsoever.
not really, that's pure math and all pure math eventually finds a purpose

well except what I did today, I learned other things like this

how you can draw it without lifting your pen, and how to prove it for everything.

well kinda, the induction was a bitch so we stopped

Angmar 02-11-2010 09:36 PM

I hate chem more than I hate math though.

fuck chem in the ass seriously

Moon Flavor 02-11-2010 09:36 PM

mr. p13 i find that you are a really good poster and have a wonderful taste in music but you are quite a mystery

tell us a little about yourself!

Jaundice 02-11-2010 09:37 PM
alex in your avatar is that pyramid head's lesser known cousin traffic cone head or something?
It's from the cover artwork of the computer game Plants Vs. Zombies

I like it because it relates to the mythos of The Girl With the Traffic Cone Hat, she's like a sociopathic surrealist painter who has to at least have a short appearance in any literary work i write

P13 02-11-2010 09:38 PM
