On a happier note I went down and jammed with Blood Sugar Sex Magik on my ipod, was great fun.

My dads friend also bought a gibralter double pedal and says he doesnt like it and I can have it if I want. I don't know the model but it's free so what the hell!

O and my 14X14 floor tom finally arrived at L&M after about 3 months. I can't get it till like tuesday though!

On a totally unrelated plus side, I'm in a really crappy band now. One of 'em lives in Bisbee, the other in Hereford, and me in Sierra Vista. Me, the one with the loudest, least portable instrument, is the only one who lives in a neighborhood with like. People.

So far it's just 2 guitarists who both play bass and me. None of us play particularly well. They're looking for a player in Tombstone, just so that we can have everybody inaccessibly far away.

So I just got home from a show (I was spectating) and it made me realize why I got out of metal and into jazz.

Talk about a bunch of disorganized, ignorant, lousy pricks. They ****ing spent an hour setting up because 3/4 of the time they were standing around talking with their annoying girly fans who think they're the best musicians in the world.

Their drummer had worse tom angles than those ones you see on ebay, and he kept missing his cymbals because he had them so ****ing high. His drumming was sloppy because he was thrashing around the whole time.

And this was the best band. I don't even want to get started on the rest of them.

Wow what a terrible evening.

The girl I went with I met at a local jazz lounge, and we totally hit it off. We talked the whole night; it was awesome. It turns out her best friend is one of my good friends, so the three of us went to this concert. The whole drive there and back (about 45 minutes each way) they yammered on about crushes they used to have. **** I thought people matured when the started going to University.

Whatever, she's still a really cool girl; I think I'll call her tomorrow.

Damn I have to be at work in 7 hours.
