I wish I had a car. I can't afford one and my parents won't buy me one, so I'm trying to persuade them to trade the minivan in for a cool car. I don't want to be stuck in a minivan. I live in a town where most of the population is disgustingly rich. I mean, kids my age get cars as soon as they pass there road test. New, nice cars too. One kid just got a brand new Mercedes SUV.
Stupid filthy rich kids.
That sounds like here. The 3rd rank best prep-school in the country is down the road, and they are always like "My daddy got me a Miata for my birthday" which elicits the response "ugh, that cheap basterd, can't even shell out enough for a Porche Carrera!"
I have a '95 Volvo that my Dad (a Subaru dealer) decided would be cheap enough to give me until I can buy my own (we needed a new plate on one for me to learn on because you can't drive a dealer plate until you are 21 :upset: )
DN got his name changed to Illmatic. He got it changed quite awhile ago too. Slowhand just never comes on. |

By Martin Scorsese, which alone makes it worth while.
I think I remember it happening at least once before EDIT: That documentary looks wicked |
Wow, I need that DVD. It looks amazing. And Walrus, I live in a suburb outside of NYC. How about you?

That documentary looks cool, like 'Moon said, it's Scorcese.

On the Road was good.
Fight Club kind of annoyed me at times. The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test was too random and frequently annoyed me. (imo) |
Towards the end of On the Road I started to get bored. It was like every page was just them at some jazz club, while Dean was telling to the trumpet player to "blow, baby, blow!"
It was still good though. I just downloaded a live show off of www.dimeadozen.org. The band is: Warren Haynes (The Allman Brothers Band): electric guitar John Popper (Blues Traveler): harmonica Noel Redding (The Jimi Hendrix Experience): bass, acoustic guitar Lincoln Schleifer (Warren Haynes Band): bass Chuck Leavell(Allmans/Aquarium Rescue Unit): piano Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic): clavinet, organ Jaimoe (Allmans): drums Jerome Brailey (Parliament Funkadelic): drums Marc Quinones (Allmans): percussion Set list: Set I 1. Back at the Chicken Shack (Jimmy Smith cover) 2. Born Under a Bad Sign (Albert King cover) vocals: Warren Haynes 3. Let it Rock (Chuck Berry cover) vocals: Warren Haynes 4.
Connecticut
Where in CT? Most of the northeast- NY, CT, MA, VT etc. is like that. Every place seems pretty much the same. CR related question- Who was the bassist for the Yardbirds on Roger the Engineer? Was it Page or someone else? Whoever it is is pretty good. |
JPJ, that sounds like the best thing ever.
|
I've notced a whole **** load of people likeing classic rock also. It's crazy. The only thing that pisses me off is when people claim to be fans of bands like Led Zeppelin when they only name about two or three of their songs. It bothers the **** out of me. I have always liked a lot of classic rock because they are usually instrumentally talented. I really like hearing people play the guitar without just using power chordes the whole **** time.

It is awesome. It took all day to download, it's over a gig in size, but well worth it. |

I'm pretty sure it was Chris Draja. (not sure though) That Bob Dylan documentary looks amazing can't wait to see it. |
Didn't Dreja play rhythm guitar for a while?
But I don't know. |
Paul Samwell-Smith was the bassist on Roger the Engineer, but Jimmy Page and JPJ also did some of it.
|
He did but he ended up playing bass in their psychedelic days.
Edit: Nevermind |
Schyma I bought a de-hydrator and my step mom gave me a ginger plant.
|
JPJ, that show does look like the best thing ever.
You must upload some of it... |
Is it a video or a mp3's?
