I'd be interested in The Who Sings My Generation.
Robo2448@yahoo.com |
Oh, awesome. Could I get At Folsom Prison and Wheels Of Fire? If anyone has any Allman Brothers, like Eat A Peach or Brothers And Sisters, or Greatest Hits, that would be nice too. I could send out Magical Mystery Tour, Abbey Road, Piper At The Gates of Dawn, Meddle-The Wall, or any Led Zeppelin album for anyone who wants them.

Robo2448@yahoo.com
You don't have it? It's an essential for Who fans, although I'm assuming you've heard most of the songs before anyway. Still a must have though. |
I forgot I just got The Closing of Winterland, New Year's Eve 1978 by The Grateful Dead. It's a four-CD, 4 1/2 hour beast, and in short terms kicks arse. I'll send everyone the first song off it, and if you decide you want it, reply and I'll send the rest. It was the last performance in the crumbling old ice rink in San Francisco bought by 70's rock afficionado/concert planner Bill Graham to host bands he couldn't get into his other hall, and it was really shoddy, but some awesome acts were performed there, including the Stones, the Doors, and of course, the Grateful Dead. No one really liked the place at all, except maybe the Dead, but when Graham announced he had to tear it down because repair costs were too high, he scheduled his favorite band to play there for one last monster show. The show included highlights such as Graham rocketing in to the hall at the beginning of the show on a 10, no, 12, 12 foot-long joint, and the Dead's first performance of Dark Star in San Francisco in 5 years. Overall, an awesome Dead show.

I love that show, I have the CD and DVD. My highlights are Scarlet Begonias>Fire on the Mountain, Me and My Uncle>Big River, Samson and Delilah, Dark Star>The Other One>Dark Star, and St. Stephen.
|
Okay everyone, I'll get those albums out asap.
|
I got Blue Train from my sister for Christmas, so I don't need it. Boy is that album sweet.
On an unrelated note, I rented Pulp Fiction for the first time tonight. I'm very excited about seeing it. np: Brian Eno -1/1 |
Man this is alot of work.

I'm really not a big fan of Sing My Generation, the only album which I like less is Sell Out. Just not a fan. I've got the Saprano's Complete 5th to watch tonight since I'm grounded/no car/no mom to drive me. So I've got quiet the night ahead of me 12 hours of the Sapranos. And I got Dazed and Confused. |
Dazed and Confused is pretty sweet.

Such a great album. Fantasia Suite and Guardian Angel are beyond words to describe.
Be careful people. We don't want to see this thread closed for copyright reasons.
:( |

Yeah, it's pretty cool. I had a version of Forget Her on my computer, but the polished up version is way better.

Eternal Life is pretty good, though. |
Np: Friend of the Devil.
One of my favorite songs ever, and definitley what I want for my last song of the year. |

What's wrong with INXS?
|
What's wrong with INXS?
THey just don't seem to fit in with that list, but I've never really listened to them except for that new single which I don't like too much. The fact that they created a reality show to find a singer absolutley skeeves me. |
We should make January ,"put a hip hop icon in your avatar," month fo the classic rock people.

I've had ATCQ avatars before, but I'm not sure that all the regs would comply with this idea. You never know though... edit: woah now everbody is posting. |
I just watched that again.
I like The Stooges. Goodnight.
Goodnight and have a super duper new year. And The Stooges are awesome. They had this raw, anarchic noise and you barely hear anymore. |
And The Stooges are awesome. They had this raw, anarchic noise and you barely hear anymore.
Actually you hear it every where. Electric Flag was cooler than Cream. |
Pretty Vegas? That song isn't that bad.. I don't like the new singer much.
I think I am the only person to actually watch Rock Star and liked the show, from what I remember. JD Fortune is an asshole though. But Pretty Vegas is a good song. I really don't care for INXS's old work.
Actually you hear it every where.
Proof? I've never heard anything like it. |
Rock Star was an awesome show, I loved it, some great singers, great performances, even though JD Fortune or whatever the hell his name is was a jackass egoman.
i just hope they can do that show again, find another singerless band or something. Pretty Vegas is pretty good, though. Remember that song Trees? |
Woooooo Classic Rock....Well Im 13 and i must say classic rock is the stuff, nothing better then listening to it. Led Zeppelin are the greatest woot. RAP AND HIP HOP SUCKS, go rock and metal!!!
