well for the part I'm sure about, to get infinite solutions, what I did was do Gaussian elimination on the system (ask your tutor about this if necessary) and the system I got was

the only value of alpha that can give you infinite solutions is 1/4 since it makes the variable coefficients zero and so the equations are satisfied no matter what values you plug in

Well idk man you have no idea how much I sucked at mathematics in high school

It was probably the main reason I didn't apply to an Ivy League school right off the bat

I just kind of studied it intensively on my own because I needed it to learn things I was interested in and then it made sense

It's pretty cool to be the only person in the room who knows how to do something especially when money or respect are at stake
