Yet I bet the people of Madrid do remember and pay their respects for that event every year. It just so happens that America is one of the biggest and most well-known countries in the world, and that means that talk of events like this will get around.
They might get around, but do they have to put them on the news and stuff, we all know what date it is, and i know that it was a terrible event and what not, but im just seriously sick of hereing about all terrorist events, nvm that one.

Its getting stupid now, to the point where my college is gonan hinder my studies because there scared ill get blew up, its dum, and the more the media go on about it, the more people are gonna get scared into not doing anything.

And to be honest I'm flipping the channels right now and theirs nothing concerning 9/11 anymore since the names being read at the site from early this morning.
Were the Marlins too cheap to get their own stadium?
I think the city didn't want to spend the money to build a new stadium.

The San Diego Chargers and San Diego Padres used to be the same way, and I believe the Oakland Raiders and Oakland A's still share a stadium as well.
No, you're comparing what happens to third world countries apparently the "100s of thousands" of deaths in every day to the "100's of thousands" of deaths that happened to the worlds biggest country in one of the most popular cities. I have yet to see any relevant "over plastering on media" of 9/11 and to be honest I'm glad that they are having a special today on it because its better then hearing about Katrina for a day.
There entitled to a special day, i just dont wanna hear about it, and id much rather here about Katrina because its news thats current and whats happening now.

I'm sure there are people just like you around here who don't care about your current events/past reminsing so deal with it.

Sky News: Gaza crashes

Then your cynical. Death is an event people are supposed to remember whether its 1 or 1000000.

Well of course it's going to be on a news program like that. They only last about 20 minutes and they have to talk about all the headlines from the day.

I need a drink, and I'm downloading The Fall Of Troy's rare stuff!

I don't really understand why you are this upset. Because a news show which is about half an hour long has done a little bit about the memorial of a terrorist attack?

Proberly because im easily wound up and agetated. Ask adam, he's knows from experiance.

EDIT - Im sick about hereing of any terrorism, anywhere, anytime.

Kif 09-11-2005 11:41 AM

Meh, the British media only really report on terrorist attacks and deaths that happen in crazy ways. There's never any news which can cheer you up on the news now.

Mute Print 09-11-2005 11:41 AM

Well, I'm off to try and get some homework done, and then I'm going to a show (Madison, Day at The Fair, The Mile After, and The Suicide Pact). It's an early show, so I might be back tonight.

Ha, I've never heard of The Mile After, but I really like Madison, and Day at the Fair is pretty good too. I've seen the Suicide Pact before, and they're pretty cool too.

Now, I'm off.

cbmartinez 09-11-2005 11:48 AM

Day At The Fair is from around my area. They have so much energy live.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-11-2005 11:51 AM

Man I really like Day at the Fair.

Kif 09-11-2005 11:51 AM

I have to finish lab questions for biology. I was asleep for the whole lab, so I don't know how this is going to work.

Then I have to read like 40 pages in To Kill A Mockingbird which won't be bad at all. I can't believe we're actually reading a good book in class.
