Patrick O))) 06-22-2006 05:03 AM

Hmmmm ... nowt's coming up  I'm positive there's a course there

Or I know that there's one at a college in Manchester. The college is a bit rough but the course is good. It's acoustic guitars mainly

There's a whole bunch of courses on here. The Manchester one is the one I was talking about. I'd have gone on it this year if the college secretary hadn't fucked up giving me open day dates

I phoned and asked when I could come and look at the course, the date she gave was the deadline to confirm your place on the course. When I got there (3 hours travel on buses and getting lost) I found out there was nothing they could do because the course was full and there wasn't really any point in my being there. The tutor showed me round all the same though. It looked really good, he's a really cool guy

The John Marlow course is about 20 minutes from me  I didn't find out about it until a few months ago :upset:

jpshortstuff 06-22-2006 05:28 AM

got work traning thing today at tesco. cant wait. they told me 8 till 10 and i really hope they meant pm.

AG 06-22-2006 05:31 AM

That looks awesome. I'd be going for the fast track on I think. I don't know how it'd work mind, I'd have to get a job and move to manchester.

Patrick O))) 06-22-2006 05:34 AM

Yeah, it's pretty good. The course was packed, which is a good sign. There's like 10, 15 students a class? I think it's arranged that, to complete the course in a year, it's two days a week, so it's not that intensive or anything. It's almost like a hobby.

SO if you were to move to manchester you could quite easily support yourself. Or even commuting is pretty straight forward from not that far away

AG 06-22-2006 05:37 AM

Hmm. There is a course in the USA that looks amazing, but it costs $14k
