Ziggy Stardust is a perfect album, IMO.

Yes, I agree. |
I don't know if it's possible to have a perfect album but TRAFOZSATSFM (dude!) is a very good one, it has a lot of great songs.
|
/hasn't heard it in it's entirety

I think Eat a Peach is perfect. WYWH and DSoTM come close, too. |
Hmm, interesting. What do you guys think that an album needs to be considered perfect? If an album doesn't have any bad songs, the songs that it does have could still be better, right?
Those ones definitly come close. |

Those ones definitly come close.
It has to be really really good. Really, I'm not entirely sure. It's just that when I listen to those albums I think "This album is fucking perfect." |
They still have tiny tiny flaws though. Are we talking about the literal definition?
|
I think Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs is perfect. I like each song in its own respect, and the order and the way they exchange vocals and everything. I agree with Eat A Peach totally too.
|
I think Abbey Road is perfect.
Sure there are some songs I don't like *as* much, like Because and Her majesty, but when you look at them objectivatly (sp), they are great songs. They are unique and of high quality, and there would be people out there that would love those songs. I either love or almost love all the songs on Abbey Road, even those mentioned, though they aren't as favorites of mine as, say, Something, Oh Darling, and Polythene Pam for example (actually I could go off and list all the songs on the album, there's not one "mediocre" song or worse on there). |
Octopuses Garden= Great song

Speaking of Slug, you should hear the rap he and his sister recorded and then posted in Alt/Indie.
Octopuses Garden= Great song
All the songs Ringo sings lead on are awesome. |

I can think of more than three... Octopuses Garden Yellow Submarine With A Little Help From My Friends Honey, Don't Act Naturally Matchbox What Goes On |

I don't care for Abby Road that much. Revolver is the Beatles most perfect record IMO. White Album and Sgt. Peppers are almost perfect aswell. A perfect album is an album that has nothing but good songs and no bad ones. Perfect Albums (IMO) --------------------- Piper at the Gates of Dawn A Love Supreme (the most perfect album ever) (ever!) Revolver Out to Lunch Workingman's Dead (Although I like A.B. more this album has no flaws) Kind of Blue The Doors Wish You Were Here Robert Johnson (any of his collections) I know it seems like I'm not to picky when choosing these but I think all of these albums are perfect albums in their own right. |
Ha, check this out guys: I just found out I live like 20 minutes from one of Neil Young's houses. Stompin' Tom Connors lives on the same street, too. My buddy does landscaping work on their street.
I drove by both of them last night. |
