I take SSRIs because I have a fairly severe case of obsessive compulsive disorder. i have been taking zoloft since i was 8. i'm physically dependent on it and it also takes away most of my ocd symptoms. i have asked my doc about weaning myself off but he said that i would have to go down 1mg at a time and that if i get off and my ocd comes back the zoloft may not work and i would be stukc

i know it's an anti depressant, but the theory is that it balances out my serotonin so i don't have so much anxiety. i basically have an anxiexy disorder and OCD is how i manistests itself

... clonidine for example can be used for heart arrythmias, ADD/ADHD, nerve pain/neuropathy, and a few other things i cant remember
