I've been playing alot of 3D pong recently... I get to level 8 and fail, I used to be pretty good, but now suck.

Steerpike 10-26-2005 03:37 PM

Man, my media player has been dominated all day by Michale Graves and Blackmore's Night. Gee, guess what the next chapter of my spotlight series will be featuring in November?
To whoever asked: Iai is not a mod but he will be if I get my way.
This shouldn't be hard, as DBJ is secretly the Burger King who's set on letting people "have it their way."

BIG LULZ!

Give him a buiscuit and Jim will probably go 'Yeh man your my friend, ill mod whoever you want without asking the forum involved atall!!!'

Yeah that's exactly how everything goes down.

MX is a little more political than that, for better or worse.

I must have played Attack of the Butterflies and Morte D'Amore at least a dozen times each today. Something about his songwriting is just addictive.

Er, no. He never was either, if that's why you're confused.

And yeah, mayonnaise with fries is nice.

Small question for you...

Have you ever heard Blaze Bayley's solo stuff?

Something tells me you may like it.
I can send you a few songs if you haven't...

Whatever. The bog standard user still gets no say in what happens.

Anyway, Kerrang! has a brilliant article on the black metal scene this issue. Its very accurate too.

I'll try anything once. YSI it to me.

I thought Blaze had talent, he just wasn't the ideal fit for Maiden that Bruce is.

Hopefully in future the other mods, at least, will.

NP Tyr - The Edge

Haven't listened to this in a while. Great song, though.

Anyone else want some live BLAZE tracks, while I'm on?
Also is there any reason why the users should get a say in who mods? It's a private board, I don't see the problem. It's when the mods don't get a say that it's a bit silly.
I completely agree with you on this one. Not to say that users shouldn't be allowed to have an opinion or shouldn't be able to support one "candidate" or another, but it's not a REQUIREMENT to listen to them. Mods on the other hand... I think the admins would be doing themselves a favour by taking what they have to say into account.

Because we're the ones that the modding decision effects. We come on, we contribute to the forums, shouldn't we at least get to put forward our ideas?
I've began introducing Porcupine Tree to my friends. So far, I've got two people into them. I'm going to get my friend to download some Porcupine Tree albums I don't have, then jack them from him, because he has uber fast internet. He can download at like 250 kbps.

I know EXACTLY how you feel.

I went over to my friends house and he downloaded albums in about 5 minutes, while it takes me 4 hours.

His internet goes 100 times faster than mine.

100 times! That's crazy. My internet is extremely slow too.
Okay, who's ready for Riva's Birthday Extravaganza?

I finally resized the pics from my BBQ, so here we go:

This is I, drinking goon. Goon is an Australian invention, and it is fortified wine, sold in 4 L bladders, which have a tap on the side. You hold said tap to your mouth, and pour the sweet (actually it's nasty) nectar into your mouth. It's $12 dollars for 4 litres, which will explain the taste better than I can. :)

These are my workmates, and this photo is interesting because that girl finished that whole bottle of chardonnay in one day. Without dying.

Two of my mates, looking mately in my downstairs bathroom. What a fine display of mateship.

Group Photo! I'm onto Scotch on the Rocks at this point.

My singing along to Manowar. This is close to the start, and I was raising a beer in one hand, as all true metal warriors should.

You can put forward ideas, yeah. Having the final say is a different thing, though.

EDIT:
Ideas, sure. And I think it's stupid he doesn't at least fish for ideas; but some of my more political friends think elections etc. should be held. Which is too much. It's just a message board.
Hah, I remember that. That constitution was so ridiculously complicated.

Well with the Jason thing, no one knew it was going to happen. Ken just goes 'im going to mod you' and bam, it happens. Superpeer didn't even know about it until he saw the stars.

Jason would have been on my list, but so would have been Steerpike, Lord Abortion and SixFootRevolver. All great users.

Thanks Joe, it means alot to be appreciated:)

I would have suggested Jason or Jom, personally.

I would say Alex too, but I have heard him say he wouldn't want the problem of his temper getting the better of him with some idiot.

Alex, please if I'm wrong on this, tell me.

I think Steerpike has done more for R+M than any other non-modded user in the time i've been here.

I also think that 'Peer and 'Tender should get more recognition. This is one of the cleanest sub-forums on mx, everyone does a great job.

None of the other forums have as many education threads as R+M, its great.

/R+M patriotism.

It's because of the incredible people here that R&M is basically the only forum I post in here.
