You didn't stop in to the Organic Traveller by any chance did you? Because I saw some people wearing CR T-shirts in there.
No, but I know some people who did, When were you in there?

And yes, supertramp are awesome! They've got their own cool sound.

The Clash 07-26-2005 01:20 PM

Bands Like The Beatles and Led Zeppelin are deffinitly getting a second revival. I think its because Rap is now the "Big thing" and for people like us who hate rap turn to Classic Rock, because the new rock scene isnt really good right now. I dont listen to Led Zeppelin but i know alot of teens are in my school. Im really into the beatles and i have just started to get into them within the past 3 months. I LOVE THE BEATLES! It is music that will touch every generation IMO. There songs about love will carry over to my childrens children.

RockAndRoll 07-26-2005 01:22 PM

Speaking of rap, what do you guys think of K-os?

Against Miik! 07-26-2005 01:30 PM

I like K-Os, Kanye West, Jurassic 5, Aesop Rock, some pac, dr dre around the first chronic era, common, akrobatik...wow I like a lot of rap.

BludgeonySteve 07-26-2005 01:32 PM

He's got some style. I wouldn't buy an album, but he's certainly creative. Which is rare for rap.

I've never heard him, but I like Jurassic 5, Deltron 3030, The Roots, Spearhead, and some Aesop Rock.

RockAndRoll 07-26-2005 01:35 PM

I don't like alot of rap, and I don't own any rap albums, but K-os interests me more than any others do(that I've heard).

I'm not sure how much attention he's gotten outside of Canada.

The Clash 07-26-2005 01:37 PM

The only Rap i will listen to is The Beastie Boys. I have Ch-Check It Out as one of my ring tones on my cell phone.

BludgeonySteve 07-26-2005 01:39 PM

Indeed! :thumb:

I think alot of Rock N Roll people have some respect for the Beastie Boys. They Combined Rock N Roll guitar riffs with rap. Well, they used too
Who here loves Supertramp? I have Breakfast in America and Crime of the Century, both on vinyl. I'm absolutely hot on both albums, very much so.

I think they're very underrated in the Classic Rock world. All their songs sound so good to me, just really fresh, and classic without making it seem like they're stealing themes from other songs.

Great band.
I absolutely love Supertramp. My favourite album would have to be Crime of the Century, although I don't think I've heard a song/album of theirs I didn't like. They were great at writing songs, so creative.

I've heard K-os and he's got some good songs. Not a huge fan though. I don't listen to a lot of rap.

edit- and I suppose if the Beastie Boys are considered rap, then I listen to them. I like the Beastie Boys.

ATM 07-26-2005 02:13 PM

I like Sage Francis, Atmosphere, Edan, Demigodz, Non Phixion, etc
If anyone wants to know shroom kool-aid tastes really bad.
I'd imagine so.

Fuuuuck, this bugbite on my arm is driving me nuts

K-os is great, one of my favorite artist currently. I like The Beastie Boys, I like how, in their earlier stuff, the rapping vocals worked with the guitar, especially in Fight For Your Right

Stevie Wonder is seriously cool. SITKOL is an essential album.
