What kind of?

The Brad 10-31-2006 04:51 PM

Yeah maybe they would have called. It would suck if they refused it because I said it was a gift. :\

With the band that I gig with every week. We play worship music (with a twist), don't get paid, but it is a lot of fun.

Ha, I just showed my guitar teacher my new Conklin. He thinks it will be exciting to teach me to play.
I think he's still somewhat thrown that it is CF instead of BE (he's been a guitar player for like 30+ years).

So if you had to buy clothes from Pakistan or China, which country would you buy from?

He can play anything. His main instrument is guitar, but he used to teach me sax too. He's a complete musical jack of all trades. He can do anything with music.

BRAD: neither.

So you'd rather die than buy from one of those countries?

Akira 10-31-2006 05:00 PM

But it makes me feel happy to know I have brought a little unnecessary pain into someone's life.

Sounds like my drummer. He is an amazing drummer, plus he can play keyboards, guitar, bass and sing. He does all of them well, but we like to keep him on drums because he is so freaking good at it and has perfect tempo.

Not saying that, but I try and avoid buying from either of those countries.

lowsound

The Brad 10-31-2006 05:02 PM

LMAO for making one of the oddest calls of my life.

Well it's either Pakistan, China, or Ukraine and without these clothes I would die on impact.

Maybe make a donation of the purchase price to a world aid group for that country to relieve the guilt of buying 3rd world?

A custom from either Jared or Chris Stambaugh.

If it's from Jared, it'll be an 8 or a 9.

If it's from Chris, it'll be a 7 or an 8.

Yessir. It'll be fantastic.

Whatever it is, it's gotta have more than 6 strings.

Hahah, o boy.
I got transfered from one department to customer service to discuss this issue and they didn't wanna deal with me. :\

Who are you calling and what about?

lowsound

Akira 10-31-2006 05:13 PM

The only problem I have with Stambaughs is that on all the 6+ basses I have seen of his, they have been single-cut. Since I play I significant amount of tapping, that wouldn't work for me.

The Brad 10-31-2006 05:16 PM

Alpinestars, the company that makes the riding gear I am looking to buy.
It's like the most protection on the market, that I can afford, and it's made in China. The Italian stuff Dianisi (SP) is made in Ukraine. Then there is a British company, but the guy couldn't answer where it was made.

Like motorcycles? Or bicycles? If it is motorcycles get joe rocket very nice and still rather cheep.

lowsound

The Brad 10-31-2006 05:26 PM

Motorcycles, crotch rockets.

Alright, apparently it's Italian leather stitched in China (cheaper suits) and the higher end stuff is mostly made in Italy and sent to China for the final works. d00d got offended when I called China third world. Apparently they arent' sweat shop conditions, people keep telling me the quality is fine. But it's not the quality I am concerned with, I know it's good. I am wondering if these people are making a living wage and are not being exploited.

Joe rocket, it is what I wear, or rather used to before I sold my bike.

lowsound

The Brad 10-31-2006 05:29 PM

Yeah the last guy I spoke with said Alpine, Joe Rocket, and Dainese are all Italian companies who use the Chinese for the final stitchings.

Crit/comments - it's the first draft of the first section of a song I'm working on. The idea is to be able to actually play it live.

FunkMetalBass 10-31-2006 06:05 PM

So, after really thoroughly listening to Panic! At The Disco, I have to say that they are a really creative band. They just have this...thing...the X Factor, if you will...that makes them somewhat intriguing and kind of different.

All-in-all, I think I like P!ATD

:O

It's okay. I almost always dislike music made with loopers though. It is usually just so repetitive and boring. For what it is it is good.

Wintermute 10-31-2006 06:10 PM

The rhythm at the beginning is looped, and carries on through the song - or what there is of it so far. But the rest I play while singing.

I like some of your work. I haven't heard a ton of it. Just as a broad generalization, I don't love looped music.
