Rather you like metallica or not, you gota respect metallica for ****ing who they are and what they've done. Metallica will always live and will never ****ing die. At least one in every 3 people know or heard of metallica. Every guitarist who has played metal knows at least 1 metallica song. That just goes to show you how ****ing influencial they are and how much they've impacted metal. Wheather you like For whom the bell tolls to One, to Nothing Else Matters, At least one song affects you personnally, and fulfills you. The one the you gotta say is that James can ****ing communicate with his lyrics, tell me who else that can impact such greatness like he did and not have any "selfish lyrics about him". One thing james does that i admire, is that he tells it like it is and doesn't bull****, hees as real as they come. Like him or not, you gotta give the tip of that hat to the guy because there is noone like um. He is the difference maker with metallica. No james, no metallica. James is the unique sound of metallica with his voice that distingishes metallica from everyone else.

kirk hammett inspired me to pick up a guitar, seriously. haha even though ill never be as good as him....and even though i know alot of you maybe dont like st anger, and i dont, but we should still support metallica so they can make some kick *** thrash albums!

hell yes. metallica has been one of my main influences in music. they truly are amazing. James is a great guitarist. his rythme style is half lead, and he sings at the same time! lars an pound foot pedals so fast sometimes... rob is just fukkin nuts... and what can be said about kirk. the man is one of my favorite guitarists ever. every time i hear one of his solos, i get a rush of adrenaline.... and i love it. screw drugs. i get high off Metallica! god speed, boys. |
Besides, look at that new Iron Maiden album.
err... can i get a st. anger?
Metallica is the best band out there 15 years ago ****ing today Period
fixed. |
Metallica is the best band out there ****ing today Period
Thats strictly from a fan standpoint :p I'd contest that. |
You know, I don't want to come into an official metallica thread and start flaming the band or the people posting here, but I really gotta say that Metallica fans (on the whole) have a serious problem. You remind me of fundamentalist religious fanatics, refusing to see ANY fault with your God(s). No matter what they say, do, or play, no matter how good or bad it is, you present or fabricate reasons to justify it, refusing to simply admit the truth. Theres nothing wrong with loving a band. But why do people STILL insist Lars Ulrich is a great drummer? You would say that about ANYBODY who was in Metallica, weather it was Neil Peart or Tre Cool, JUST BECAUSE he is in Metallica. Even in their thrash days, Lars was nothing special. Igor Cavalera from Sepultura and Dave Lombardo from Slayer were doing much better things around the same time period, and are still superior today.
If you connect with their lyrics, cool. Like the music? Wicked. But please, please, don't make moronic and opinion based statements like "Metallica is the best band in the world." Of course people respect Metallica (I sure do), but I think you all need to respect them enough to be honest with them and view them from an impartial and unbiased position and tell them when they suck. |
that's a great point, I think Metallica fans are kind of ignorant sometimes, but you know what, METALLICA IS THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD, at least in my opinion!
METALLICA ROCKS and what is the best metallica song ever?
best met song ever would probably be "ONE"
who am i kidding? they're all good!
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Puppets by far.
Anyone been at the madly in anger with the world tour? When Metallica played "one" the whole stage went up in pyro. Even the lights surrounding the stage were made to look like they broke they were hanging down from the celing. Then the spotlight came on and was on James as he played the intro. That sent chills down my spine. One is the best song live by far.
.....Its the best song EVER
Hell ya! One is definitely the best song I have ever seen played live! There is so much energy! When I saw them and they started with the pyro I actually jizzed on the head of the guy in front of me.
Where did you see them at? I seen them at seattle two times.
I saw in Atlanta for the Summer Sanitarium, and in Charlotte, NC for the Madly In Anger With The World Tour. Both kick *** shows but I would have to say that the one in charlotte was better because it was an arena show and I was so close, plus Godsmack put on a hell of a good show to my surprise.
"one" is deffinately a musical masterpiece
1st thing i gotta is say is that, **** yeah metallica is the best band in the world out there that are KNOWN and thats a ****ing fact. Look at EVERYTHING those guys have done, Eveything. For a band that influences so many bands accross the ****ing world you have to acknowledge that. People have heard more of metallica than as oppose to Iron Maiden or Van Halen. That in itself is ****ing amazing.
To admit when they sucked, they havn't. I have never said that metallica sucked because thats a stupid ****ing statement. Everything that have done hasn't sucked in my eyes. Even if they did produce something that weren't up to par in your people expectations it shouldn't matter. You have to take the bitter with the sweet and obviously there is more sweet. So if anyones gonna talk **** about those guys you need to back it up. You can't just say.."uhhh St.Anger"... because that shows that your a moron. Every time you open your mouth look at their history and tell me different. When i say metallica is the best band i know they are. But that doesn't take any credit away from Iron Maiden, Ozzy/BlackSabbath, AC/DC. But metallica did something that changed metal. Before it was ****ing black sabbath who was carying everything and they were the **** and then metallica came out and had differnt ****ing sounds and they just exploded after a certain period of time. Tell me what band today has done that? The one guitarist i give credit to right now besides Kirk Hammet is Zakk Wylde, everyone else doesn't have the spark. And for metallica being good 15 years ago? Your a ****ing moron bro. That stupid comment isn't even worth acknowledging. And, St. Anger did better than Iron Maidens new album BRO. So if anyone else wants to talk smack, bring some points and doin't bring stupid comments. What i always say, It's easy to hate the person thats #1, everyone wants to bring you down. Whell Metallica is still standing. Personnally i think they're St. Anger album was better than the crap music right now. Death Metal and new Metal is crap and has no skill what-so-ever.Those guitarists sound like people who can't play guitar and want to show off to their friends type ****. No originality what so ever. Every band out there sounds almost exaclty the same. I'd take St.Anger over people who sound like their taking a **** anyday. |
master of puppets is my favorite. but i did hear that "one" is the best song pretty much hands down at their concerts
redoutlaw u are my hero *bows before you*
My favorite is Enter Sandman
master of puppets is my favorite. but i did hear that "one" is the best song pretty much hands down at their concerts
One or Creeping Death are the best live |
Whiplash is kick *** live, so is Of Wolf and Man
Creeping Death or One I'd say. When I say em in April I loved those two songs. The Pyro before One was AMAZING and they really tore up the song. The bass was audible (unlike on the record :D ) Creeping Death was bad*** as well. As soon as the breakdown began, the entire crowd started chanting "Die! Die! Die!" and the crowd as a whole, added the "Die! Die! Die Motheeeeeeeeer F***eeeeeeer DIE!" even though Hetfield din add it. Hey, I thought it was cool. I love that part of the song!!
when they play "one" live it really makes you feel the song and make you feel as if you're in a warzone...it's so awesome!
Your so right DIE ****ER DIEEEEEEEEEEE
erm.....ok...
Sorry i got caught up for a moment. :D
whatever floats your boat...^_^. Does anyne think metallica will come around cali again? i know they already came..but one can always hope!
