He said something about "the disruption of the entire northern Wisconsin school system"...

Where are you looking at colleges, irish?

lets see.

im probably going to go to a community college for 2 years because my parents have run into a pretty bad money predicament and i havent recieved any schollarships yet, but im applying to UC davis, UC santa cruz, San Diego state, and UC san diego. if my parents had the money i couldget into any of them. but i have no problem with going to a community college. :) what about you?
It was quite lucky that mankind even existed, then!

Unless you're a believer in fate, you ought to have realised that your argument is also null and void. Even if you do, It's still pointless trying to argue the toss about it, tbh.

Everything may indeed be linked in some way to numbers, but are numbers responsible for everything?

OMG OH NOES!!!11 LMAO! 1+1= EVERYTHING!! LOLZ!!!shift+1
...What?

The beginning of the universe was a random occurance (I agree with the Big Band Theory myself). "Random" indicates probability...chemical and thermodynamic reactions occured to "make" the universe based on quantitative relationships...without mathematics, there IS no universe...there is no "nothing" because 0 does not exist...there is no "everything" because infinity does not exist (that includes negative infinity)...because the extremes do not exist, nothing in between exists...

Best of luck, man...you're doing something in math or science, I take it?

I'm looking at Harvard, Yale, Tufs, BC, Holy Cross (safety), Brown, possibly the University of Chicago, and maybe a few others...only thing is, my parents (as you know) don't like me (very long story for those of you who don't know it) and don't want to pay for college, so I'm praying for scholarships or else I really can't go anywhere unless it's on the money I've earned through my part time job...:upset:

I hope I get scholarships...I need them.
my respect for sade varies greatly from discussion to discussion. after the one a few nights ago its high.
Exactly...at times, I really admire his points of view, such as his liberal points of view, since I myself am very liberal...at times, though...

However, since his permaban on the name Sade and talk of an IP ban, he really calmed down...I'm not saying "we won" against Sade, but he's a different user now. Personally, I like him better now; he's still the same Sade, but without the pointless and unprovoked attitude...same taste, less filling. :D

irish: I love chemistry, as everyone here knows (I've done countless MXers' homworks for them in chem and been the unofficial "math and chem tutor" for quote some time now), so I plan on majoring in organic chemistry, receiving my PhD. in the subject, doing cancer research (hopefully to find a cure), then after a few years in there, retiring and becoming a highschool intro to chem and AP Chem/AP Calculus/Alg. 2 teacher. :D

That's cool, I just can't stand people who class themselves as 'stoners' under the false pretence that they consider it to be uber-cool.
Who was it that yelled out "Who's Jaco?" in music theory class at Berklee?
*raises hand*

I didn't "shout it out," the professor was talking about Jaco, so, as a joke, I was like, "Who's Jaco?"

Everyone in the room turned slowly around and glared at me...Quatre and Tryxx laughed and I was like, "I'M KIDDING! PORTRAIT OF TRACY! DONNA LEE! AMERIKA! WEATHER REPORT! TEEN TOWN! I KNOW! I KNOW!"

Yeah, I like helping people and working with people. I love teaching and education, so I figure...hey...teacher.

Plus, I want to be the "cool" teacher. I want to have an actual relationship with my studets, not just, "Ugh, not his class again." I want people to view me as a mentor and friend who happens to teach them chemistry and math, not the other way around, if that makes any sense.

Anyone know what kind of bass the bassist from the gym class heroes uses? I seen them yesterday night with Emery and I was quite surprised with his playing. I actually remember seeing some DT'ing and tapping... It looked like a Cirrus but I didn't see a name/logo anywhere...Help?

I need to get this out of my system: Itunes customer service sucks...

First they charge me twice for a porcupine tree cd... I send an email to customer service and get this in reply:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for your interest in buying music from the iTunes Music
Store. To buy music from the iTunes Music Store, you need to
upgrade to iTunes version 4.9 or later. You can download the latest
version of iTunes at no charge from our website.

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

If you're using a Mac, you'll also need to upgrade to the latest
version of QuickTime to watch video previews or purchased videos.

If you run into trouble with the installation, here are some articles
that may help.

Mac: http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n301349
Windows: http://www.info.apple.com/kbnum/n93976

A question I have to ask all foreigners who know english - do you dream in english or american accents?
