NP = Now Playing.
Example: NP - Shock Wave. A few great Nightwish songs are: Dark Chest of Wonders Nemo Over the Hills and Far Away Wanderlust Ghost Love Score |
I still say that they get Marco from Nightwish, that would be aweseme

Over The Hills And Far Away, is that a Zeppelin cover?
No, it's a Gary Moore cover; and loads better than the original too. :) |
Gary Moore never heard of him. So who wrote a song called Over The Hills And Far Away first. Gary Moore or Led Zeppelin?
|
They are different versions (gary moore's is was better than zepplins IMO)
and nightwish and sonata arctica do a better version of gary moore's than gary moore :thumb:
I bloomin well hope they don't get him! best sabbath song = the wizard, closley followed by nib n wheels of confusion
best sabbath album = volume 4 best sabbath line-up = the original, what other can it be??? |
best sabbath line-up = the original, what other can it be???
What would the band call themselves? Blackwish? Night Sabbath? Why doesn't Tony come over to Nightwish, and then they could have a two-pronged attack of Riffmeisters, with both of them trying to out-riff the other in a riff-mungus duel of riffage? Nah - perhaps not.. |
ok so if you got to pick a new singer for sabbath who would you choose (it cant be soeone they have already had)
|
Brian Johnson of AC/DC would be interesting. lol
But seriously Bruce Dickinson would be good. |
robert plant
|
It crossed my mind but I really wouldn't like him in Black Sabbath, his voice doesn't really fit at all, plus he probably thinks hes too good for them.
|
I gotta say I feel ripped off by the Sbbath CD's I bought. First I bought the Best of Black Sabbath. Then I thought it was pretty good so I decided to buy more. So I went and bought Never Say Die and Technical Ecstacy. I then bought Paranoid, which was pretty cool. And then bought Sabotage and SBS. Basically I bought their four shitest albums plus Paranoid.
Also, Bill Ward is an awesome drummer. |
robert plant
You know i think i am one of the only people in the world that cannot stand Robert Plant's voice, its whiney and annoying to me (like ozzy's voice is now)
I gotta say I feel ripped off by the Sbbath CD's I bought.
dude SBS is an awesome album!
It has some good songs, but most of it is over synthesized ****.
|
You know i think i am one of the only people in the world that cannot stand Robert Plant's voice, its whiney and annoying to me (like ozzy's voice is now)
i always thought ozzy sounded whiney whenever he sung. So, i picked the next whineiest vocalist i knew , and that was robert plant |

Yes the song "Who Are You" makes up most of the album. And whats wrong with Sabotage? |
Who Are You? is a brilliant song.
Sabotage is possibly their most underrated Ozzy-era album. Robert Plant and Led Zeppelin do nothing for me. At all. Hell, I sometimes go as far as saying they suck. |
Well there songwriting wasn't that great.(Except for Achilles Last Stand) but the talent is incredible, except Robert Plant. Oh and John Bonham is overrated. Also I agree Who Are You is brilliant, i don't care it uses a synthesiser it stills sounds great.
|
If you listen to other songs, you will hear synthesized effects. And there's some in sabotage too I think.
|
Well I don't have Sabotage. And really what is wrong with synthesizers?
|
i always thought ozzy sounded whiney whenever he sung. So, i picked the next whineiest vocalist i knew , and that was robert plant
I think Ozzy sounded good in the early Sabbath days, unlike Robert plant who i think sucked in every Zeppelin album i have heard him on
Sabotage is possibly their most underrated Ozzy-era album.
What about Never Say die? or paranoid  |
I think Ozzy sounded good in the early Sabbath days, unlike Robert plant who i think sucked in every Zeppelin album i have heard him on
What about Never Say die? or paranoid
Never Say Die! is one of their best. Paranoid is poo. |

I think Robert Plant was twice the singer Ozzy was in both band's early days. |
Care to say why?
|
He's right. And Dio is double the singer Ozzy was...and still is.
Come to think of it, Ozzy's not even that good. He's just been very fortunate to be around great muscians (Tony Iommi, Randy Rhoads, Robert Trujillo, Cozy Powell, Zakk Wylde, etc.) I mean, he's alright. |
I can see what you're saying, hes not that great but hes got a very distinctive voice, that's why hes so famous. Also he can still sing in tune so hes not awful.
|
Useless fact - I have 5 versions of the song Black Sabbath on my computer.
1 cover version (by Iced Earth), album version, Live Evil version, Ozzy's Live & Loud version and Never Say Die! DVD version. |
I think Robert Plant was twice the singer Ozzy was in both band's early days.
Plant just sounds like he is trying to have an orgasm in all their songs to me (like when on the live version of stairway i have seen when he starts going "oh, uh-hu, oh yeah, ooh baby bay") Also Martin owns all sabbath singers vocal wise (in my god-like opinion) |
is it just me or is black sabbath the greatest band ever?
|
is it just me or is black sabbath the greatest band ever?
No that would be the Beatles. But when you're talking all genres metal...Sabbath owns. |
Their singles are their only good stuff but do not get me wrong the singles are great
|
Black Sabbath is a great band, my favorite songs are snowblind and paranoid, my favorite album is paranoid.
|
