So i just Got Hibria's - Defying the rules ... Not bad.
What do you guys think of them?? |
That album is absolutely amazing, I bought it a while back. It's really good.
|
Yeah, pretty damn good. They're speed metal though.
|
I have it, but haven't listened to it yet...
|
Hibria are fantastic, and yeah they're Speed Metal.
|
Anyone ever listen to Rage? And no, I certainly don't mean Rage Against the Machine... I just picked up Soundchaser(2003) and it kicks serious ***. Since it's like their 17th album, i was wondering if their older stuff is similar or if they have evolved since I know the lineup changed a lot....
ive heard them not a bad band), but have never got round to buying an album or anything NP: Dungeon - Stormchaser |
I like Hibria, only what I'd heard off their Myspace.
|

Yeh. Rage's albums are very difficult to find. I've only ever seen "Unity" and "Soundchaser" in stores. I had to order "Trapped!", and I was amazed to find "Black In Mind" at a thrift store for 2 bucks  It was the first time I've really ever been into a thrift store, and finding that album amazed me... |
Whats a thrift store ?
|
Whats a thrift store ?
It's just a store where items are extremely cheap....like CD's are about $2-3. All of the items are given there for free, and then the store sells them for extremely cheap. It's like the Salvation Army. The majority of the customers are those who are less fortunate...I was there because I heard they had some original NES games in stock (:p ), so I thought I'd check the place out real quick... |
Like a pawn shop then ? Well sort of..
I don't think I would ever buy a used CD. |
Like a pawn shop then ? Well sort of..
I don't think I would ever buy a used CD.
Basically yeh, just they're meant for different causes, though I generally use them for the same... I've bought a number of used CD's. If I find a used CD I like, then no question I'll buy it. The Demons & Wizards S/T I found at a Pawn Shop in near mint condition for $4..... So Storm, you're telling me you wouldn't buy a CD in a situation like that :p |
:p heh. I don't like the idea of buying a cd that soemone else has listen too/open the cover before me.
I'm weird like that, yes :p ESpecially Demons and Wizards cd. I would never buy a used one from them :p |
I'll buy used CDs of bands I don't really care about...only one we have around here is EB Games though. And they have nothing.
|
EB games sells CD's in your area?? hmmm....here it's basically soley games, software, and DVD's.
NP: Amorphis - Tales From the Thousand Lakes (entire album) |
Hmm, I thought it was only games and stuff like that. I never saw cd's there...
|
Maybe he meant because EB resell games that customers have returned for cheaper. I've gotten some bargains that way.
|
I've traded stuff in there before...
Most of the stuff works just fine, and you can't argue the prices...though the selection is a bit lacking, as said above. I've found some awesome stuff I don't really want to pay full price for though...some different punk albums, AC/DC's live album, other junk. Even saw The Angel And The Dark River by My Dying Bride there once. That one sent me for a loop... |
we have EB games here too, but ive never seen cds in there before, just games
|
I've never seen CDs at EB, but I've got some great bargains from a used CD/DVD/Games place here.
Ghoul - Maniaxe for $10 Iron Maiden - 7th Son for $15 Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic 2 for $35. Please note that these are Australian prices. God I get annoyed when people assume I'm talking in US $$. Locations are there for a reason. |
So is that like US dollars or something?
I can't believe you didn't own 7th son till now. |
I bought 7th ages ago silly. Ghoul was the recent one. |
Hehehe..."porn shop"
NP-Iced Earth-Blessed are you. |
I don't own 7th son :(
NP Einherjer - Ballad of the Swords |
You should.
|
Yes I know. I want it eventually. But I'm not really in the hunt for any Maiden cd's right now.
NP Einherjer - DRagons of the North |
That is why you fail.
|
I like Maiden. Just not as much as you :p
NP Iced EArth - The Reckoning |
That is why you fail.
|
I was expecting that :p
Listened to Green Face before...and I don't see what you don't liek about that song :-/ NP Iced Earth - Hollow Man |
If you ask me Maiden has some good songs and an amazing vocalist, but a lot of their songs I find to be quite average. That's why I only have their best of albums.

I would like to see them live, though. I almost bought a ticket to one their shows in Gothenburg, but they were sold out in no time, so no ticket for me.
At least I get to see Blind Guardian in September. |
