I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't seen any of the Beatles movies.

Never show your face in this neck of the woods again!

But seriously...you should check them out. The songs are great, and you might find that some parts your actually laughing out loud at. And it's also just great to see them all.

Leper 08-29-2005 01:11 AM

I'd like to check them out, but I seriously never see them anywhere. I'd probably have more luck if one day I actually set out to find them.

Ulysses 08-29-2005 03:17 AM

I have been wanting to see one of the Beatles movies for a while now but to be honest I haven't really looked in any record shops or online.

GeorgeHarrison 08-29-2005 04:51 AM

Help is seriously my favorite movie of all time. It is completly retarted. The plot makes absolutly no sense. Let me just say it involves Ringo, an ancient tribal huma sacrafice ring, and an ancient island indian tribe. Oh yeah. theres singing too!

An another thing that makes this film so great is the fact the the guys were stoned through most of the production.

Ulysses 08-29-2005 05:04 AM

Yeah, I read about it in the Anthology which is why I'm so keen to see one, being stoned and making some off-the-wall movie and knowing that because of your fame that it will be viewed by millions of people must have been a great feeling.

DeusExMachina 08-29-2005 02:20 PM

I want to see MMT. I've heard mixed things, but I'd still like to see it.

MBS 08-29-2005 03:30 PM

'Sup George?

Re-upload your avatar, it's a bit fuzzy.

If you guys remember a few pages back talking about the album "Let It Be Sessions" and none of us thought it existed? Well, guess who has it?

I'll YSI it later.

I've actually seen a couple on TV before. I haven't seen MMT though.

Illmatic 08-29-2005 03:49 PM

I've seen the "Sgt Pepper's" movie that starred the Bee-Gees.

God did that suck.

Walrus Gumboot 08-29-2005 07:52 PM

Wow, is it 5 hours long? Looks possible...

Seafroggys 08-29-2005 08:14 PM

Yeah, Gimme Some Truth, one of the greatest songs of all time!

On the "Fly on the Wall" CD or whatever the bonus CD is that comes with Let it Be....Naked, there's a brief section where John plays the first bit of Imagine on the piano, but its still a very infant idea at that point in time.

Zip it into a single file with winzip or winrar. Then, send that file.

If you have Windows you can right-click on the file and choose send to>zipped file

PS-Alot of their solo work seems to have been developed in the last days of Beatle-dom. I wonder what Imagine/Teddy Boy/All Things Must Pass (all songs developed as Beatles)would sound like if they were done in the Beatle-era

Seafroggys 08-30-2005 05:36 PM

Imagine wouldn't be too much different IMO. The bass line would be more complex, because Klaus Voorman never ever did anything beyond the most basic basslines, I"m sure Paul would spiffy it up like he did with Something.

Also there might be some guitar work from George as well.

DeusExMachina 08-30-2005 05:50 PM

I can't imagine Imagine (heh...) having a guitar solo in it. It would just be out of place.

Walrus Gumboot 08-30-2005 05:50 PM
Well Harrison was on a few of the album's tracks, don't forget, so perhaps not.
I always forget about that

Klaus Voorman gets props from me for doing the Revolver album cover. In fact he is the first non-beatle to appear on a Beatles album cover (Revolver)

I agree, the song's already perfect. I finally downloaded the Let It Be Sessions, I didn't realize they had been uploaded. I reviewed ATMP is anyone wants to check it out.

/terrible bump from the fourth page :upset:

MBS 09-01-2005 01:14 PM

Thoughts on the Let It Be Sessions album, anyone?

I like the way they did She Came in Through the Bathroom Window.

Much more mellower, it's nice.

Broken Arrow 09-01-2005 01:15 PM

robo2448 09-01-2005 03:28 PM

I just got Paul McCartney- The "Russian" Album from my library.

Apparently, it was released just in Russia in 1987. I haven't listened to it yet though.

Woodstock 09-01-2005 03:34 PM

Thanks for the album MYR. (I still call you that)

It has some pretty good versions of the songs.
