O ok, thats a good thing imo, now the rep system wont be abused and reputation points will have more of a sentimental value. thanks for the link, munky. :thumb:

Pfft.

(Way to make me feel like my contribution was useless :()

Jom 03-05-2005 02:46 PM

No, that's not it, Zepp. I read what you had to say.

It's just I'm sick of school right now, and there isn't much to fight for to begin with.

thickasabrick 03-05-2005 02:49 PM

So who here has been repped yet?

I've been repped by Ken. It's a long way to stars though.

Illmatic 03-05-2005 02:50 PM

Hey thread.

Dammit AH, you're making me homesick.

munky_magik 03-05-2005 02:51 PM

I have no rep. I haven't done anything to deserve it yet though.

Jom 03-05-2005 02:51 PM

Sorry, Ray.

GurS 03-05-2005 02:54 PM

I really REALLY want a Line 6 Variax 700 Acousitc
I really REALLY want a Line 6 Variax 700 Acousitc
After all the words and numbers....that's still just a guitar right?

Illmatic 03-05-2005 02:57 PM
Sorry, Ray.
Eh, it's not a problem

GurS 03-05-2005 03:01 PM
After all the words and numbers....that's still just a guitar right?
it's an electric that has 14 acoustic guitars programmed into it, and has loadsa cool features: virtual capo, pre-programmed alternative tunings, you can retune each string electronically, you got an in-built sitar, mandolin, japanese guitar-esque instrument (the kind of one you hear in Kill Bill and other Japanese movies), and has a split feature where the low e and a is a bass guitar and you can play guitar on the high strings.

it's by Line 6, who also make PODs. So same kinda technology.

They definitely don't have those at my local guitar stores...I woulda stole it by now. It sounds pretty handy, especially the virtual capo idea (and a sitar would be pretty damn cool)

Did you find it on the internet, or are they more common than I am led to believe?
There's a Variax bass + electric aswell
where are the pickups on the electric Variax?

GurS 03-05-2005 03:16 PM

I haveno idea... but remember, the Variax acoustic is an ELECTRIC guitar.

Oh, and anotherthing about the Variax acoustic - you get invisible microphones, and you can decide the placement - so differnet bits get picked up

GurS 03-05-2005 03:18 PM

by 'bits' i mean areas of the guitar

That's pretty cool, you could probably make your guitar sound exactly how you want it. I've never played a guitar that sounded exactly how I wanted it to sound. Although the one I own is pretty close.

what kind of guitar do you have?

GurS 03-05-2005 03:25 PM

Even though I'm a drummer, I like to pretend that I'm a folk-y singer/songwriter. Hence wanting a Variax 700 Acoustic
