Foad

'sup thread? Big hand-in day today. Not exactly going swimmingly; I've left a couple of reports that need to be included back at my house, which is a pain. Other than that, I'm in the Edward Boyle library of Leeds University, waiting for printer credits to go through =]

jpshortstuff 12-08-2006 12:02 PM

this thread is like permanently dead now :-/

this makes me sad :upset:

christmas soon - this makes me less sad.

2muchket! 12-08-2006 12:43 PM

Mx has been dying a painful death for a looooonnnnnngggggg while.Whats the chances of Jeremy deleting it or getting rid and totally focusing on sputnik. I can see this forum not being around in 3 years.

Untitled 12-08-2006 01:10 PM

To true.

Noone can be arsed nay more i think.

2muchket! 12-08-2006 01:47 PM

If it weren't for this thread and the Football thread I'd stop posting. I think Jerermy will cut his losses eventually and shut this forum down. I imagine it muse cost a fair bit to maintain the servers and what not. Not too mention the mongoloids who hack, although that does seem to have stopped now.

Untitled 12-08-2006 02:53 PM

Im doing work, Im researching Hussein Chalayan, hes a cool fashion designer he is.

ChodaBoy 12-08-2006 03:11 PM

This site probably does cost a bit to run, but the adverts will more than cover the cost, plus Jeremy doesnt have to do that much on here, only when dickless people hack it or there is a vBulletin update

I am great today.

/owner of two Muse tickets. For Saturday.

Kif 12-09-2006 11:11 AM

Woah, so I bought Rock Sound today, and it has the Hot 100 for next year, and my friend's band is on the list! He was in my music tech class, and there's a picture of them, and I was like "OMG IT'S WILL!!"

They had their single played on Radio 1 too.

I saw muse...3 years ago now (it's amazing how time goes by). They were pretty awesome. I've started to go off of them now though.

I saw them 4 years ago :p

But yeah, the are still an awesome band, but I prefer their older stuff.

2muchket! 12-09-2006 12:40 PM

Recently got some of their b-sides adn can honestly say even their b-sides are far FAR better than any band's A grade material.

£30 down £45 down to see muse @ Wembley ;)

Hell I'd only heard New Born then, although I was only 12 and not really into music. I think Origin of Symmetry is a pretty good album but I find the others seem to be getting more and more mediocre to me on each listen.

edit: I only paid £16.50 to see them :p

2muchket! 12-09-2006 12:53 PM

OoS is the best album released in the 21st century IMO.

Wow I saw them when I was 13 I think, it was my first gig too. Good times.

My friends let me listen to OoS and asked if I wanted to see them at Doncaster, so I was like "Sure, why not?".

And I agree about the albums, although I like Showbiz a lot too.

The_Passenger 12-09-2006 12:59 PM

I've always thought that Showbiz was their worst. It's the only Muse album I can think of where the Radiohead comparisons are relevant (not that Radiohead are bad, imitating them is though).

who they?

'sup

2muchket! 12-09-2006 01:09 PM

^ I agree. Showbiz has some amazing songs but at that point they were just called 'the next radiohead'. Not until OoS did they really show they were one of the best bands this country has ever produced.

The_Passenger 12-09-2006 01:16 PM

I would've never called Muse one of the best bands this country has ever produced. I like them but I've never seen them as anything particualrly special. But yeah OoS was a huge step foward, but they seem to have taken the whole operatic thing too far now.

trysthedrummer 12-09-2006 01:35 PM

They have to move forward and change, personally, the way there going makes me get into them even more.

Get in! HA, found a way to avoid my £60 fine

2muchket! 12-09-2006 01:35 PM

I think musically and the whole way they arrange and write there songs. Plus all of their albums have been excellent to Classics IMO.

They've got loads of talent and a never ending scope to change their sound to one end of the scale like alt rock/metal to the other and be like full classical.

Untitled 12-09-2006 01:58 PM
