Well, if I thought those things and it interested me enough, I'd take a class. You never know. I know lots of people who are passionate about advanced creativity or science, but take business courses at tech school because "it's not practical to make a living." That's bullsh[size=2]i[/size]t, unless you're a Lit major. The fact is, if you're passionate enough about something and you have the competency to go along with that passion, you can score in any field you choose to work at.

My university is terrible for variety of classes though. I feel if maybe I could get into a study group, things would be better. Also, I may change into metallurgy, which is definitely something interesting.

Ah, I see. I guess that's one way in which my university rather spoils me. It's so perfect for my temperament and my ambitions, but it's also quite unlike most other experiences of universities.

Real letters are way cooler and more personal than IMs. I write letters to Heather (my velcro shoes) on a regular basis as well as my girlfriend and several other people more sporadically.

It's the fact that this semester I ended up with a truly incompetent teacher who clearly doesn't like me, symptoms of a depressive episode due to stress from my heavy courseload, and the fact that I have more passion for my independent projects than all of these required classes which really don't have any practical value to me whatsoever.

While it's true that a liberal arts college is supposed to teach you to be well-rounded, some of these classes are only useful to highly specialized fields. Yet I can't graduate if I don't pass them because they're required for my major.

Forgive me, because I usually get you, but where on earth did this come from? Last time I checked, this conversation was about Jason and the problem he was having, not yours.

Besides the fact that your anger seems a bit unwarranted given what we've said, I don't even see a single post from you participating in this discussion before this one. Jason started this current talk about school, and it sounds like he can relate to at least some what you're dealing with. I can relate too, but in a different way. I don't understand why you still need to go over this with us with such anger, especially when it seems so clear that simply talking it over and sharing our experiences doesn't help much for you, unless I've misread.
