Electric Requiem 10-03-2006 12:15 AM
Quick, I need 3 stocks that are expected to go up within the next 4~5 weeks, pure profit only, dividends and such don't count, no mutual funds.
Thats a fairly short period. Im picking stocks right now to invest in, and it looks like its a good time to go into oil and gas companies.

Josiah 10-03-2006 12:16 AM

Apple, Disney and Sysco

Aaron 10-03-2006 12:19 AM

Sunshine: back any company sponsoring a major sporting company thats televised in that time. They'll be seen, they'll be bought.

Sunshine 10-03-2006 12:50 AM

It's just a Free Enterprise project, and the class ends with the semester so..we don't have much time. Which is why dividends and mutual funds and things don't count.

Heh, thanks, I found 3...GE [no matter WHAT happens, people will *always* buy electricity and beer], Southwest [my friend in the airline business said that contrary to popular belief, airlines (Southwest inparticular) are actually going up] and Honda [every other person I know who buys a car gets a Civic or Accord, and Toyota is 110 which is too expensive for the class budget of 5,000 imaginary $ for 5 stocks].

But yeaaah, thanks guys ^-^

Josiah 10-03-2006 01:13 AM

Airlines are going up.

Because they dropped WAY down. They are just coming back up to where they were before.

Sunshine 10-03-2006 01:44 AM

's fine.

Like I said, it's for Free Enterprise.

All we have to do is make some imaginary money over the course of 4 weeks via stock market and our class gets a pizza party.

I might miss high school a little, if only for reasons like that.

Josiah 10-03-2006 01:45 AM

awwwwww.....

Seafroggys 10-03-2006 01:46 AM
OK, I need your advice stronghold.

Theres this girl that I gave 10 dollars worth of object X and did her a huge favor... well its 4 weeks later and she said she wont pay me back untill a friend of mine gives her like a couple dollars he owes....

Except I have nothing to do with that, so shes just fucking with my cash.

This is really getting on my nerves for some reason. I am middle class, so 10 dollars isnt ALOT of money, but its no small amount for me either, and im on a tight budget.

I am seriously inches away from raging on this bitch with a tire iron. I mean inches. The only thing that is stopping me is the consequenses of such.

Give me power stronghold, what should I do.
Go get your 10 dollars with the tire iron. And look hella serious.
Eyes Blazing and Bulging.
Head Cocked one way, hand extended.

She's going to give it back, unless she's a crack whore.

GhostNote 10-03-2006 08:21 AM

maniac0796 10-03-2006 10:49 AM

Hah, remind me what VB is again... Visual Basic innit? Try doing C#, that stuff is insanely difficult to grasp and understand.

Sunshine: Don't invest in airlines, not a smart move. the moment an airline has fuel problems, employee strike, or there is a failed/effective terrorist attack, bam, your buggered.

Corkofski 10-03-2006 11:03 AM

just buy shares in that brazillian airline that had a crash last week.

the shares can only really go up...

Fantastic drums, you just can not go wrong with yamaha. The new lugs are amazing and allow so much of the drum to be seen (and heard), amazing mounting.. just awesome drums.

Win A Rabbit 10-03-2006 03:19 PM

Man, I love Billy Joel. My english teacher got me into him, since she adored him, and a bunch of our assignments included dissecting songs of his.

I don't think I'll ever get the chorus of "We Didn't Start The Fire" out of my head after dissecting that whole song. Man, that took a while to do.

Janeway 10-03-2006 03:25 PM

I've only got one hard day left this week.
Sigh.

Edit: Fucking people.
I want Sarah Water's Night Watch but someone has it checked out. And it's overdue by one day.
