I agree to an extent. I don't like the idea of needing to depend on drugs to regulate the chemicals in my brain in order to function but if it isn't functioning healthily to a point that it's having an effect on my everyday life I'll take meds to get myself back on track.

Pros outweigh the cons.

I'm not anti-medication but I would never want to be prescribed to meds myself unless it was necessary

I guess i'm one of those hippies that looks at things like depression and anxiety as psychological problems and not biochemical ones and thinks they should be solved through lifestyle changes and meditation

True. Though I think some people are more prone to it than others.

I've been anxious and inhibited since I was a little kid, so it's hard for me to really say there was a triggering event or whatever. I think that part of my brain just doesn't work right.

yeah idk if my meds are really even doing anything for me

but my dose is getting upped next week so i guess i might know soon

yeah i've been on meds for years at a time before and never had any decently believable evidence that it worked

adderall helps me focus but id rather sell it to make more money

and the pills i took for my ocd helped but they dont mix well with alcohol, and id rather live with some random compulsions than not drink

yeah meds definitely don't mix with alcohol, like that time back when i was on Paxil and took like three or four shots of vodka before school and woke up in math class with police and ambulance on deck
