If you do, don't expect politics to be any less hegemonistic there, as they are here.
Nah I'm sure politics there are even more frustrating, but I wouldn't go to be involved in the big metro life if I did. I'd go to study martial arts traditionally/possibly be a monk.
How'd you like Texas, and where exactly did you visit?

We went through Amarillo on the way to Lubbock. Amarillo was dirty and shitty, but Lubbock was nice.

I don't think they're taking new immigrants, unfortunately. At least not for the time being.

superpeer 02-06-2008 04:44 PM

beer!!!! and i never met a belgian i didnt like. theyre like the french but friendly and the country is nice

jelle: brussels most likely

NemesisDivina 02-06-2008 04:56 PM

Greece is ****ing awesome. The weather there is perfect, it almost never rains. Most of the people there were really nice too. Basically, if you know a few words in Greek like 'please', 'thank you', 'hello', 'goodbye' stuff like that, they'll fall in love with you. It's really cool.

Greece is amazing. I recommend Athens of course and half a week to a week in Rhodes would go well.

Brussels, tssk. It's officially bilingual, but French is dominant there. Go ahead, be a frenchy. Antwerp > Brussels.

beans 02-06-2008 04:58 PM

im planning on going there in a few years so im stoked that its as cool as i thought it was, im really looking forward to it :)

NemesisDivina 02-06-2008 05:00 PM

I spent a week in Crete and a week in Athens. I highly reccomend visiting some of the islands while you're there and take the ferry between one or two of them. It might be really slow, but the scenery in Greece is breathtaking.

beans 02-06-2008 05:01 PM

awesome! now i cant wait to go there, did you check your rep nemesis? i sent you something

Permanent Solution 02-06-2008 05:02 PM

The islands are great. Rhodes is a great base and I imagine Crete would be too.
