I am shocked. In the guitar forum there is a thread about what bassist would you want to backing you/play with, and it went 4 pages of no one mentioning Steve DiGiorgio...

Most of the responses was Victor Wooten...

Any mentions of Sean Malone?

Or Pete Perez, or Doug Keyser, or Tony Choy, or Clayton Ingerson?

Or..

If I were a guitarist who wanted a challenge, I'd say Les Claypool - I'd shake any guitarist who could accompany Claypool during one of his more obscure outlandish songs by the hand.

Just returned from a haircut/coloring. I was waiting in the queue at a coffee shop, glanced up at the mirror and completely failed to recognise myself.

I think you can get a Stick, Stick Bass, and Grand Stick. Malone plays a Grand Stick, I think.

I think they can be a combination of both, or either individually, depending on which you buy. They're played by tapping, with both hands at once, which means your hands are "equal partners in making music". With a 12-string Grand Stick, two sets of six strings can be processed individually, essentially meaning the player can play rhythm and solo at the same time. Check the demo videos up for download there; there's two of them, I think, both featuring Greg Howard being really cool.

Oops, I see.

Even though I had 9000 rep somehow, I'm glad the system changed. People with 200 posts were already in 4 digit reputations because people were like "Oh, you have the same eye color as me? Here;s 400 rep for you!" ect.

Of course, I can't say I didn't do the same every once in a while, but I think the change is for the better :)

Eventually, It will probably get the way it used to be.
