Wtf, why would someone lie about having cancer?

I think my dad might have to go for radiation this winter :(
THATS WHAT I SAID!.

She's a dirty lying sack of hot asian.

Futuro 10-01-2006 05:49 PM

Hey so I saw that band "Between the buried and me" open for Dragon force, and they played a song that was mostly in 7/8.

Does anyone listen to them? Could you tell me what song that is so I can download it?

_Wrathchild_ 10-01-2006 05:53 PM

You saw Dragonforce?

Fast cheesy awesome powermetal ftw

Selkies: The Endless Obsession

Sunshine 10-01-2006 05:55 PM

She lied about cancer?

That's pretty screwed up right there.

I had skin cancer when I was a baby...nothing serious though. Just a nasty exploding mole on my wrist. But I was a baby, so when they went to chop it off they couldn't put me to sleep.

Berk 10-01-2006 05:58 PM

Gez thanks for narrowing it down, :thumb:
Downloaded both, it was the selkie song.
This is probably the only "Hardcore?" band I would listen too.
You saw Dragonforce?

Fast cheesy awesome powermetal ftw
Yeah haha it was pretty insane. They started getting pretty drunk by the end of the show and some of the solos were played a little choppy. But the first half was awsome.

Drum Phil 10-01-2006 06:16 PM

I hate myspace. It made me see how many photos i could upload.

At 48 i ran out of interesting photos.

Lame.

Definetly Definetly. The sweeps at the end are really great. What CD would you reccomend me buying from them?

They only played about 6 songs when I saw them. All were good IMO. Very dynamic band.

Alaska. x102049874035602375085704857034875. Ok?

HeLLmO 10-01-2006 07:05 PM

oh, are we disscussing between the buried an me? good band.

something that has been facinating recently is the change in the style of frontman from old school hardcore to new school hardcore

old school hardcore were dudes like henry rollins who look, and did, just dominate ppl.

new school hardcore are like the dudes henry rollins beat down

Drum Phil 10-01-2006 07:10 PM

I got bored and decided to listen to Alexisonfires new effort.

Its horrible.

Time 10-01-2006 07:20 PM

haha, I was at a friends house, and he had a couch in the computer room, and yeah I was on it and I laughed so hard that I fell off it!

Josiah 10-01-2006 09:35 PM

My.. what I like to call "master machine" resides in a cabinet in the living room. It powers a DP on a big wall (vaulted ceilings) and uses wireless for most everything.

So I can sit on my couch, and play BF2 in bigger then life size haha.. racing games are fun too.

LoneStarDrummer 10-01-2006 09:48 PM

i just got through listening to "war pigs" by black sabbath, and i got to say, bill ward was and is one badass drummer.

tony iommi is really badass guitarist as well.

probably my favorite lick of all time is on War Pigs, right when it goes into the outtro.

LoneStarDrummer 10-01-2006 10:03 PM

i know exactly what your talking about.

also the guitar riff at 3:30 is one of my all time favorites.

lmldrummer 10-01-2006 10:04 PM

just thought i'd share these guys with you

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=20805153

they're a local band, my band played one gig with them and a few others, the other 2 best local bands broke up:angry:
you can't really hear the drums good on there, but they have a great drummer, they sound amazing live, and at one of they're shows this sat., a recording comp. is coming to watch them, not sure who, but if they don't get it, someone's gonna die:smash:

Friend IDs do not link.

I hate predictable music.
There three genres should say Rock/Pop/Pop-rock.

lmldrummer 10-01-2006 10:11 PM

i really don't consider them any of those though, they're kind of they're own

Futuro 10-01-2006 10:14 PM
i really don't consider them any of those though, they're kind of they're own
Any band that uses an V-I Chord progression shouldn't be considered there own genre.

lmldrummer 10-01-2006 10:17 PM

i'm not good with that stuff:confused:

i just listen to the drummer mostly anyway

yeah the lick at 6:32.

Hmmm, at 3:30, that's the guitar solo, I wouldn't call that a riff.

LoneStarDrummer 10-01-2006 11:12 PM

yeah you're right. riffs are repeated. that's diffently a solo
