Howlin' Wolf could Rock the house like no other singer. A truely underrated Bluesman.

This is pretty good considering I did it all on that shity paint program. Turned out nice. My art:

The Doors version of that is great. Gotta love Morrison howling the blues like that.

ATM 07-22-2005 12:03 AM

That song is so great to drive too.

Glitterati 07-22-2005 12:09 AM

Wicked news.

Tomorrow night, at the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, I am seeing Coldplay and Pink Floyd set to a laser show.

ATM 07-22-2005 12:10 AM

I think I went to the exhibit. Is it put on by that guy who did the effects for Floyd, Zappa, the Dead, etc?

JonG 07-22-2005 12:14 AM

Floyd has some great effects. All the lasers on the Pulse tour were amazing.

Glitterati 07-22-2005 12:17 AM
I think I went to the exhibit. Is it put on by that guy who did the effects for Floyd, Zappa, the Dead, etc?
I think so.

It's a cool show, but those are the only bands worth seeing IMO. The other ones are Zeppelin and U2 :p

ATM 07-22-2005 12:34 AM

I went to something similar. It was pretty cool, I just wish it had been live music.

Badmoon 07-22-2005 01:06 AM
A truely underrated Bluesman.
Well, I wouldn't say so. He is commonly recognized as one of the top Blues artists ever, aswell as recognized as a having a huge influence on Rock 'n' Roll.
I think I went to the exhibit. Is it put on by that guy who did the effects for Floyd, Zappa, the Dead, etc?
He also did the effects for Metallica, I believe.

jpj 07-22-2005 11:36 AM

I saw a Pink Floyd laser show a long time ago at the Carnegie Science Center.

Loser Boy Jay 07-22-2005 04:08 PM

The Charlotte, NC symphony did a set of Led Zepplin songs. Thats pretty cool...

BludgeonySteve 07-22-2005 04:09 PM

That sounds... interesting.

Lunch 07-22-2005 04:10 PM

I heard the Naval Academy Band play Kashmir, on a semi-related and equally unimportant note.

Badmoon 07-22-2005 04:11 PM

Np: ELO - Mr. Blue Sky

Easily one of the greatest songs ever made.

Lunch 07-22-2005 04:14 PM

^I took Malcom's word for it.

*looks left*

I'm thinking about doing an ELO FA because not many people know about them. I was listening to "Evil Woman" on the way home, and I thought to myself: "Damn, the orchestral arrangements on this song are incredibly simple, but they sound incredible mixed with the band."

Lunch 07-22-2005 06:44 PM

Go for it. I haven't heard enough about them.

MBS 07-22-2005 06:55 PM
Go for it. I haven't heard enough about them.
But Med's never on, and he said something that the last FA he has scheduled is going to be in October, and I'm confused :upset:

Lunch 07-22-2005 06:56 PM

Yea I remember hearing that there was quite a line of people who already had dibs on future FAs. I got lucky, the night I decided to do one I talked to him and he told me to put it up in 3 weeks.

Canadian-Guy 07-22-2005 07:01 PM

ELO are pretty good, from what I've heard of them.

Jam2Me 07-22-2005 07:03 PM

On the topic of ELO, if any of you are interested in Jeff Lynne's only solo work then just ask.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 07-22-2005 07:11 PM

After listining to Out to Lunch for the 3rd straight time I have come to the conclusion that it is one of the greatest albums ever.

Lunch 07-22-2005 07:16 PM

I thought it was alright, not too spectacular.

(I'm sure this will mean I don't know what I'm talking about, which I guess I don't).

wanton 07-22-2005 07:41 PM

Can someone in here put up A Love Supreme please? I already asked in the YSI thread. I know at least Schyma has it and a few others might.
