There's some negativity in the air

You guys are fighting way too much. Everyone needs to chill out a bit, oi?
I know this place has gone downhill since it started, at least in the manner of helpfulness and whatnot, but it's not bad. Plus, we have some great members now. I mean, I've been here since before I was even playing drums. I've been around since...early 04 I think? Yeah..on an older account. I do agree we need to focus on drums more. And I *know* I could be contributing tons more than I currently am.

Also, what's up with DBJ still being a mod? I mean, according to the site, he hasn't even posted since: 07-02-2006, 12:53 AM. Not here, nor in guitar. We need someone from the community, someone with time to devote, too. We all know how freaking hard Damo rocks, but he doesn't post much anymore.

I'm working on an awesome electronica-ish song right now. It starts off really experimental and such, then has these little vague melodies thrown in that have an orchestral feel.

Kind of Eno/Massive Attack/My Bloody Valentine inspired.

It's fun just taking a simple melody and tweaking it as much as possible until it's an entirely different thing.

I'd gratefully become a mod, I'm on here all the time, and I'm pretty damn objective. I don't participate in all the soap opera **** that's been happening.

very right there. i talk to josiah on aim, and have known him for a long time now. i, along with a group of people who do talk to him and see his posts, and of course, read here and have grown used to his style.
he doesn't ever openly attack people, he's just not very subtle in his response to subtle attacks on him.
right, wrong or stylistic preference it has its place in a world of individualism.
takes two to tango, always, even if he is totally wrong in something he says to someone. either that person said something first or somebody continues the issue.

otherwise it would just die in 3 posts right? josiah says something, person says something, josiah says something

after that, you are looking at a 2 party continuation



besides, i don't see many people with constructive answers to more then 3/4 of the begginer threads. not saying i agree with his posting style, but seems the most controversial posts are also in the most worthless threads
