yee see MEDIEVAL times. and it's alot older than that too. so it's kind of... uhm long time ago. It was a Germanic tribe.

Where I come those "goth" people are referred to as "trashy nu metal kids".

Exactly. It's funny how modern day "goth" is extremely far from the gothic tribes back then.

"The name "goth" originally came from a Germanic tribe (ie the Goths). The Romans regarded them as barbaric and uncultured, much like the Vandals. "Gothic" was later applied to a style of medieval architecture by critics who regarded it as similarly barbaric and uncultured (something similar happened with the term "Vandal"). The term was later applied to a late 18th/early 19th century style of literature which had a fascination with death and the supernatural."

But how is that at all related to a 21st century group of teenage kids who act like they're depressed and dress in ridiculous clothing?

The term Gothic has been around forever, but the modern connotation of it makes no sense.

ok let's call em nu-goth people.... and they/we=me and 80% of my close friends don't act like we're depressed. Goths are extremely nice and happy people.....

I mean that if you dress and look gothic you can call yourself a goth even if you dont listen to the ORIGINAL goth music... it's like you probably look mainstream but you listen to bodom but I will still call you a "mainstream guy" if you look like one....

I listened to about half of the file. Everything was good except the last part of the intro and the chorus (same riff). It was the part where Alexi goes from power chords to the little ascending thing.
