I'm almost 17 and I still love Blink. To me it's a band that will remain my favourite forever, it's like I have grown up with them or something. They have a special place in my heart. Silly but true...

Agent_Orange 10-03-2005 06:51 AM
Am i the only person past 16 who isnt growing out of blink?
I've not gave up blink completly. I still listen to them all the time. Mostly I listen to toypaj and enema. I'm almost 18.

Well said.

Blink are my fave, and Im sure they will always will be up there. I just cant see a band like them coming around soon, its not just the music, its the guys in it, the personality, the lifestyle, everything mixed in to one made an almost perfect band to me. Anywayz I hope this emo trend dusnt last long, I say we **** emo and get back to good old Pop/Punk!

It used to be a lot better. I can only make so many intelligent posts in one day before being overwhelmed by bad grammar and idiocy.

So, I just listened to TOYPAJ..twice. I can't believe how much I love this CD. I know ever single lyric and I sang along while doing my homework(took about twice along as it should have to do my homework).

Mute Print 10-03-2005 07:58 PM

TOYPAJ is my favorite blink-182 album. It was the one that got me into the band, and although I rarely listen to blink, it is always good for a listen.

Pazz 10-03-2005 08:00 PM
TOYPAG is my favorite blink-182 album. It was the one that got me into the band, and although I rarely listen to blink, it is always good for a listen.
My first album by them and by far my favourite. Their other stuff is great, but I listened to that so much when I first got it, I was in love with it.

EDIT: TOYPAG, taking lessons from 1057z?

Mute Print 10-03-2005 08:01 PM

It was actually one of my first pop-punk albums ever. It definately set the groundwork for me getting into to a lot of great bands.

Edit - Whoops, it's late :p

That's pretty much the same as me. If it wasn't for Blink, I would probably be listening to rap or something queer.. :upset:

Mute Print 10-03-2005 08:12 PM

I'd be listening to nu metal if it wasn't for bands like blink-182 ans Sum-41. Even though I don't listen to either band as much as I used to, there will always be a place in my heart for them because they helped me break away from nu metal.

Same with me. Except it would be Rap and Linkin Park. Actually, my first pop-punk/power pop band I liked was GC and SP in 8th grade. That was only 2 years ago.:amaze: From there I got into Sum 41 and blink. Now I am where I am now.

Mute Print 10-03-2005 08:39 PM

I got into blink-182 around 2001, and then moved on to bands like GC and Simple Plan a couple years later. I still like those bands on rare occasions, but my music tastes have brodened to include everything from pop-punk, punk, and power-pop to ska, emo, screamo, and hardcore.

Pazz 10-03-2005 08:50 PM

Blink started me, then I moved into Sum 41, Good Charlotte and Simple Plan. Now out of those 3, I can only listen to Sum 41, which I rarely do. After that I started listening to Taking Back Sunday and Brand New and then to pretty much all the bands I listen to now. I still listen to Brand New And Taking Back Sunday though:thumb:.

i think after reading what tom said i lost hope in them ever being a band again
but angels and airwaves and plus 44 should be great.....i hope
atleast we can hear toms side through the album

I felt like I lost my two best friends, I lost the band I created, and I did it all for my family. And so I decided to write the album and make the movie about my life.

A third of the movie is CGI, a third of the movie is a documentary and a third of it is a love story. And it basically tells the story of the breakup of one of the biggest bands in the world and the creation of the world's greatest rock band
