I just got his Live in '64 album - that is some great stuff. Especially the duets he does with Joan Baez, wonderful.

Definitely check it out if you like Dylan, even though it's more early stuff.

:amaze:

The work of a tripped out garcia fan. I like it ;)

themightyquinn23 08-22-2004 04:36 PM

I'm gonna bring out this debate again. For my review of Chuck Berry's greatest hits, what should the genre be? How about Influential 50's rock?

BludgeonySteve 08-22-2004 04:43 PM

Chuck Berry is blues rock.

Badmoon 08-22-2004 04:45 PM

^ Yea, definitley

themightyquinn23 08-22-2004 04:45 PM

I don't really think that's descriptive enough though. For an artist such as Chuck Berry at least.

Badmoon 08-22-2004 04:47 PM

You could put (Early Blues-Rock).

themightyquinn23 08-22-2004 04:49 PM

Perhaps

BludgeonySteve 08-22-2004 04:53 PM
You could put (Early Blues-Rock).
True. He has the sort of rock n rollish sound but not like a lot of blues rock. The allmans are blues rock but they are newer blues rock. they have a different sound than chuck :amaze:

So i'll agree.

Badmoon 08-22-2004 04:55 PM

Or of course just (Blues Rock n Roll)

themightyquinn23 08-22-2004 05:00 PM

I think I'm gonna go with Early Blues/Rock. Thanks for the help.

Badmoon 08-22-2004 05:13 PM

Don't review just to contribute to the stupid Rolling Stone list.

themightyquinn23 08-22-2004 05:24 PM

Too bad. I am. Well, that and the fact that there are no Chuck Berry albums/greatest hits reviewed yet.

BludgeonySteve 08-22-2004 05:27 PM
I think I'm gonna go with Early Blues/Rock. Thanks for the help.
:) That suits it perfectly.

Woodstock 08-22-2004 05:45 PM
