I like the forum because the Moderators are helpful, and actually respond to things you ask them to do. For instance, many times I have requested a thread closed or moved.

Mods do it in no time.

Speaking of which, my band's second gig is coming up, and its a battle of the bands at a 21+ club! Three of us in the band are 18-19 (I'm 18) so this shall be so fun, being in a bar for the first time! (we have this special back room we have to stay in off stage though).

Dave Matthews came in Charlotte this week but I never ended up getting tickets seeing as it was 50$ a person :-/

Dave is coming to the Gorge for three days in August. I think they're sold out, but I'm still trying to find tickets. It sure would be nice to see Carter and the gang live.

Haha, A bunch of people went to a Greenday concerts in April and they all said they were good live. Foo Fighters will be good, I imagine, Sounds like fun.

hey im kevin cottrell im 14. live in lawrence kansas. been playin drums for 4 years now. started out when i was ten in a rock like band when i was 10. i would have never played drums if it wasnt for steven inviting me in. since then ive been playin in a ku jazz combo. got invited into it specially by jazz professor at ku and my band director. loved drums ever since. got strawberry blonde hair blue eyes and am 6' 2 . i donno wut else to say haha.

My name is Kyle, I'm from Canada. I've been playing since Christmas 04'. I love this forum, I lurk around alot and look for advice. My main influence is Jeremy Taggart from Our Lady Peace. He was brought up playing jazz, so he knows his way around the kit. My other real influence was actually my Girlfriend. She's been playing around a drumkit for a while and I decided I would like to try it, I sat down behind a kit one day, and I knew this is what I wanted to do. My musical prefrences: Our Lady Peace, Green Day, System of a Down, Guns 'n Roses, Treble Charger, Red Hot Chili Peppers and I also enjoy orchestra.

I'm Barry, Irish, from Dublin to be exact, been playing 3 years! I'm 15, Love drumming, its my life pretty much, like socialising too(i.e. drinking, smoking and bumming around!) and emm . . My Influences include Chad Smith, Travis Barker, Ringo Starr, John Otto, Dave Grohl! You prob. thinkin right now, typical noob or whatever, but there the drummers that made me want to drum and that was the music i listened to as i started!

Ugh, finally. I just got done building a bed frame for my bed so that it's only like a half a foot off the ground. Before that it was about 2 feet, and wow was it uncomforable. I had to pput my fan on a chair for it to hit my body, and it kept falling off. Anyway.
