Nice little bio, I'm a huge Guns' N' Roses' fan but there were a few facts in your post that I never knew about. It came as quiet a shock to me. From all the info I've read or seen on TV Slash and Steven were in the band Hollywood Rose and they met Izzy and Axl from L.A. Gun's to form the band, then they later met Duff because he was Izzy's neighbour (that was noted). But all the info was false and ****ty, I had absolutely no clue that Tracii Guns and this Rob Gardner guy were from the band Hollywood Rose.
Damn ****ing people today. Good job though. |

Looks like all the New York shows scheduled for May are sold out.
Tickets went on sale this morning and all four shows were sold out in about three (3) minutes. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- According to this article on Blabbermouth, a guitarist named Joshua Craig audiotioned for GN'R. In a statement sent to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Craig expressed his "complete admiration and repect for the opportunity to audition for such a great orginazation where everyone was the most polite and kind musicians and crew." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOOKERS 'N' BLOW — the band featuring GUNS N' ROSES keyboardist Dizzy Reed, guitarist Alex Grossi (ex-QUIET RIOT, BEAUTIFUL CREATURES), and drummer Troy Patrick Farrell (WHITE LION) — will be featured on Sirius Satellite Radio's "Hostile Takeover" show (Channel 28) on Friday, April 21 at 7:00 p.m. EST / 4:00 p.m. PST. The show will include an exclusive interview as well the band spinning some of their favorite tunes. |
Wow, 3 minutes.. I wish I could see them live. I didn't even know Dizzy Reed was in a band.
|
I'm guessing you're gonna see him? And GNR? Lucky..
|
this is good so far. axl has not walked off stage and none of the showes have been cancled. i think axl has matured.
Axl made an appearance on the Eddie Trunk radio show last night.
He's in New York City rehearsing with the rest of the band and when Sebastian Bach was on the show, he invited Axl to come over to the radio station to chat. Axl joined Sebastian, Eddie, Scott Ian and Chris Jerricho later and they spent the time talking about everything from WASP, the tour memories (Skid Row opening for GN'R in New York in 1991 when Axl was late), meeting David Lee Roth, playing records and talking a bit about GN'R's future plans. Axl mentioned that GN'R were working on a new song that's not been recorded yet while rehearsing in New York. Regarding the album's release he said that it'll be out this fall or late fall. There'll be a third guitarist in the band and Izzy migt show up at the shows.
Some interesting stuff in here. Including Axl mentioning a Fall release. |
Much Music had news about Axl possibly getting back together with Duff and Slash.. like that would ever happen.
|
haha, When are these re-union rumours gonna stop?! Face it, it's never gonna happen. In a way, I actually don't want it too, I'm kinda glad we should be getting new music from both VR and the new GNR.
To use this thread for some actual discussion, how great is Mama Kin? |
Bumblefoot, also known as Ron Thal.
Check out his web site. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Blabbermouth reports: GUNS N' ROSES: New Guitarist RON THAL Makes Live Debut With Band Guitar shredder Ron Thal of the New York City-based alternative-rap-metal project BUMBLEFOOT has joined GUNS N' ROSES as the replacement for Buckethead. Thal is making his live debut with Axl Rose and company Friday night (May 12) at the opening night of a four-date stint at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. Ron Thal started as a solo artist on Shrapnel/Roadrunner Records with the instrumental guitar-oriented CD "The Adventures Of Bumblefoot" in May 1995 (voted one of the Best Newcomers in Young Guitar magazine's Readers' Poll in January 1996) and the vocal "Hermit" CD in January 1997. Through his own production company, Hermit Inc., Thal (a.k.a. Bumblefoot) has released his own music, and has worked as a producer, songwriter, and hired musician. Credits include CNN, MTV, Jessica Simpson, Cher, LeAnn Rimes, and many more. |

A few pictures of axl from the new york show. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DVAwxqdSK1c&search=hammerstein A video of Welcome to the Jungle from the show. This is EXTREMELY bad quality, but it's still semi-interesting for the atmosphere and Axls voice sounding pretty great. |
axl still has the voice. the bands sounds fantastic.
|
They just a released a London date which I'm available for!!! Now I just need to get tickets, it won't be easy 'cos it's quite a small venue.
|
i hope they add some canadain dates to this tour. i doubt gm place will allow axl and company back their from what was a flight delay in which he would have been there in 2 when they ahd 3 hours b4 the show started. but gm place pulled the plug.
|
I doubt they'll come here.
|
They will in good time, but it won't be a priority for them.
|
Gaaah, none of my friends are willing to pay the £37.50 to go see GNR! I know it's expensive, but it's one of the few gigs that I thought they wouldn't be tight for. Ah man, I think I'm gonna miss out.
Don't suppose you're planning on going to the London show Dave? What with your forthcoming travels and such. |
Band closes out four-show NYC stint with a bang.
Leave it to Axl Rose to save the best for last. On Wednesday night, during the band's fourth and final warm-up show at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom, the much-rumored reunion of Axl with erstwhile GN'R guitarist Izzy Stradlin finally came to pass. Izzy's appearance led many in attendance to believe that former lead guitarist Slash, who was similarly touted by insiders as a possible guest performer before the band's first New York gig on May 12, wouldn't be far behind — but no joy. Stradlin, who quit the band mid-tour in late 1991 and has since released four albums (solo or with his short-lived group, the Ju Ju Hounds) joined GN'R for three tunes: "Think About You," "Patience" and "Night Train." The concert, which concluded shortly after 2 a.m., also featured guest vocalist Kid Rock on "Night Train." The four sold-out shows acted as a warm-up for GN'R's European festival appearances this summer. No other North American dates have been scheduled so far. Rose introduced Stradlin before "Think About You" — although his comments were almost immediately drowned out by screams from the audience as the guitarist strutted onstage. The two hugged before launching into the number, and one eyewitness reported seeing Stradlin's eyes welling with tears during "Patience." Various online GN'R messageboards have been buzzing with speculation of a full-band reunion since word of Stradlin's arrival reached fans via text message. "There's going to be a reunion for sure," wrote one fan. "There's too much money involved for it not to happen. Izzy will bring the rest of the guys around, you watch." |
I'd love to, but I have no money :/
Heh, no worries, wasn;t expecting anything really.
Well it's 10 hours til' tickets go on sale, and I have found nobody to go with me. Looks like it's game over. I'd go on my own, but Axl will turn up late and I might get stuck in London, I'm prepared to do that with a friend, but not on my own.:upset: /Begins wait for stadium UK tour. |
Why don't you buy a ticket for someone? People usually like free things.
That would be a good plan, but my card won't let me order tickets online and I have no chance of getting them through the phonelines. The only reason I have a chance of getting 1 tickets was because my mum said she'd do it, I'd feel way to guilty asking her to pay for a friend....especially when I already owe her money.
I've explored all the possibilites, and I think I might aswell write it off. It's been nearly a decade for me, I don't mind waiting a bit longer I guess. |
i would so want to them live. but i live in canada iin british columbia. if i do go see them it would be ****ing expensive i would have to take a plane there.
|
Getting attacked by Tommy Hilfiger at Plum last night was the most surreal thing that has happened in his life (Axl was attacked by Tommy because he moved Tommy's girlfriend's drink). Tommy was thrown out by security. lol i told my friend and he thought tommy hilfinger was dead
|
I found somebody to go with to the Wembley show, providing tickets go on sale as planned, I should be able to get some :D
I have just been watching the entire Rock in Rio show on AOL.com, the guys are acually looking on top form. Robin and Richard did this thing where they did an instrumental cover of Chirstina Aguilera's 'Beautiful', it sounded so cool. I can't get over how much better Robin is looking now than he did in 2002. |
here robin and richard solo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0IDmPZ9-NA&search=guns%20n%20roses%20rock%20in%20rio
bumblefoot solo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxvEXCdMGpo&search=guns%20n%20roses%20rock%20in%20rio sweet child o mine at rock in rio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5j2B2V7XYg&search=guns%20n%20roses%20rock%20in%20rio man they sound fanastic. |
It was such a great performance all round really.
They have loads of stuff from the show up on here; http://www.newgnr.com/newgnr.html I got the whole show on MP3 from the forum of that board :D |
Sorry to double post but......
I got GNR tickets for Wembely!!! :D |
you luckly son of a bitch. i want to go see them. but i live in canada. dam. have fun there
|
I think we should start a petition and force GNR to come here.
|
sound like a good plan. it would be so awesome if they came.
|
Yeah, I'm so happy about it. It also means that next month I'm seeing;
Chilli Peppers (Ben Harper is supporting) Alice in Chains Guns N' Roses ....what a month. |
muahaha, i'm going to see GNR in 1 month 17 days, at Newcastle Arena, standing tickets. :)
|
Oh man.. I hate you all. I'm seeing no bands this month. I have to wait till July for Bodom and September for RHCP.
|
Oh man.. I hate you all. I'm seeing no bands this month. I have to wait till July for Bodom and September for RHCP.
Yeah, that's two great shows at least. I've never seen Bodom, they're probably quite good live.
1 day to go :-D
, awesome. I think Bach's gonna be there tomorrow, he was in London last night so I imagine he'll be travelling with them. Which means they'll do My Michelle, awesome! Anyways, don't do anything I wouldn't do. ...52 Days. :D |
Yeah, that's two great shows at least. I've never seen Bodom, they're probably quite good live.
They are quite good live. |
Yeah, I guess that sucks, but My Michelle is better than nothing. Besides, Who would want to play in ireland anyway?
Edit: Cool, I'll try and see bodom next time they come here. |
Heh, I bet that suits you down to the ground.
edit: My friends got VIP tickets for Download by accident, I'm so jealous. They tried to blag to me that they met Axl Rose, but my superior fanboyism told them that he has a gig in Dublin tomorrow so there would be no reason for him to be at the site til' sunday. fools trying to make me jealous, haha. |
