I'm thinking: Living After Midnight, Breaking The Law, and Painkiller. Aaand, if people want to: either Ram It Down, Green Manalishi, or maybe something off AOR or SWOD.
|
I'm up for anything. But we are still lacking a guitarist and drummer.
Shoo, go and find one. |
Oooh wow, I just saw Priest last night in Boston at the Tweeter Center with Queensryche. They were ****ing amazing!!! Anyone else go that show?
Oh and they played Exciter which was a treat for me! |
You guys should cover Beyond The Realms of Death. If someone nails that solo note for note, I will be your MX slave forever and ever.

123, plus that's just a really beautiful song anyway. |
I went to the one in Detroit on June 4th, fukking sweet. One of the best ever.
|
Jewish Priest, your name made me laugh. I like you.
Can we get some setlists? |
We need a guitarist first, RCA. :(
Yeah, let's hear some setlists please. :) |
You could always program drums if you had to.
|
We COULD, but where is the fun in that?
|
Jewish Priest, your name made me laugh. I like you.

Hellion/Electric Eye Hellrider Beyond The Realms of Death Revolution Exciter Breaking The Law Turbo Lover Judas Rising Diamonds and Rust Deal With The Devil Hell Bent For Leather Painkiller You've Got Another Thing Coming That's most of it (not in order). |
Good setlist. I hope I get Beyond The Realms Of Death.
Oh yeah, speaking of which, I'm SEEING PRIEST TONIGHT!!! Bump from page 10. |
I saw Priest at Jones Beach last Friday and they kicked a$$. The best show I have ever seen.
|
ye i was there 2 , it was so awesome, btw it was my 1st concert
|
I was there too, but Halford's voice seemed a little off. He looked like his back hurt or something.
|
Alright, 'tis the night after my Priest show, and all I can say is wow. They pulled everything off perfectly, Halford sounded great, hitting everything (with the exception of a few in Excite) and it was a night to remember.
The setlist was: The Hellion/Electric Eye Metal Gods A Touch Of Evil I'm A Rocker Diamonds And Rush (Acoustic) Breaking The Law Judas Rising Deal With The Devil Revolution Hellrider Beyond The Realms Of Death (Highlight of show, Rob pointed straight to me when I gave him the devil horns) Painkiller Victim Of Changes Turbo Lover Exciter -------- Hellbent For Leather Living After Midnight You Got Another Thing Comin' There was one other song, but I hadn't heard it before. The word 'burning' was said a lot in it. Needless to say, it was fantastic, and I'm wearing my AoR tour shirt right now. I'll try to upload some pics soon. |
kk dowing and glenn tipton have to be two of the most inavative and best guitar players ever
|
i wish i could see priest id give my arm
|
lol send me your arm in the mail and I'll personally buy you tickets =P
|
I'm going to start hanging around this thread more. :thumb:
Setlist
That sounded like one KILLER show! They played all of my favorites there, and Beyond The Realms Of Death would've been my highlight as well. I'm hoping to see them soon, maybe they'll blow me away like they did for you. Have they played The Ripper since they've reformed? I'm wondering if Rob can still hit the falsetto in the word "shock". |
You're in for a sho-hock!
I don't think they've played it, but I would have loved to see it. |
i hate jack "the ripper" he dosnt even compare to rob
Jack The Ripper is the subject of the song. :) Tim "The Ripper" Owens was the vocalist when Rob left the band. |
One of my dad's co-workers gave me Live In London with Ripper. He can sing all right, but the whole time I listen to it, I keep saying "it's not Rob."
Couldn't ask for a better setlist for that album though. |
tim ,jack he stole the name ,and he sucks he sucks and umm he sucks no one could take robs place no one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

He was a different vocalist, but he could still sing... Just like Blaze and Dianno have talent, just not Bruce's. http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=363891 |
Went to the show in Irvine. Queensryche sucked monkey nuts but Priest rocked like no other. Incredible show.
|
Weird, I saw Queensryche not too long ago with Priest, and Queensryche was just as good as Priest. Queen of the Reich is total speed metal hell! And Geoff Tate fucking NAILED everything. :D
By the way, Priest's live guitar tone is KILLER. |

False modesty is not a sin that you're prone to, is it? |

You win the Incoherentness Award. Congratulations. Anyways, I believe Tim Owens is a spectacular vocalist. |
Metal Meltdown, Painkiller- great guitar and drums
You've got another thing coming- Vocals JUDAS PRIEST |
My favorite song is electric eye O_O
|
My favorite songs are Living After Midnight, Devil's Child, and Breakin the Law.
So, has everyone checked my Priest FA?
I have, and it's VERY well done. Shame though, you didn't recommend Dissident Aggressor as a Sin After Sin track. That's truly a killer song. :( |

Most were kind of boring, but they probably change the line up from town to town like Priest so we were probably just dealt a bad hand. Priest rocked like no other though. Tipton lost his mind on stage. It was sick . |

I had to be unfairly strict, otherwise I would have just recommended entire albums.
I dunno, they just played too many songs.
