Of Mice And Men...what a catchy chorus!
Hehe, one of my personal favs of that album Whaddya think of the instrumentals? Not exactly shred, but still pretty ****ing cool. They remind me of "Anthrax's Intro To Reality" |
I got it too, and I can honestly say I like it as much as Countdown to Extinction
me too, its got songs that represent every flavor of Megadeth's past and a new direction for some as well, Dave and Chris really rip these leads on here...i am more than impressed! |
Metallica Who? Megadeth is the ultimate king. Nov.2 Denver, Front row just like last time.
|
Anyone pick up the system has failed today? I would have only I was dumped with homework and didn't have time to ride my bike to a store.
EDIT: I see you have, but are there any songs similar to kick the chair, I loved that song when it came out. |

Hehe, no, I meant "I Know Jack" and "Shadow Of Deth" I wish you could buy Dragons Kiss oustside Japan/US :( |

Hopefully i'll pick the album up tomorrow. and with any luck, i'll get to see them in Boston.

you got tickets already? If so, through what? |
How did you get tickets already, the place for it hasn't been announced yet?
|
maybe through the fan club?
|
The System has Failed is an amzaing album! I love it!! the lady at the record store sold it to me yesterday cuz I almost did a buy out when the Remasters came out lol
|
^^^
i couldnt agree more, every time i put it on i love it more and more! |
I've always despised Megadeth (look at my message history) but this ablum (as far as 30 second samples go) sounded kinda cool. I almost bought it. I'd rather have Aerosmiths self titled and Back in Black though. Perhaps I'll give Megadeth YET ANOTHER chance. Last one. This ablum better be good.

Trust me, it is. it blows their last 2 albums away |
i cant see how a fan of Metallica and Slayer could not get into Megadeth, its almost a given. I hope you look into them more.
|
I just dont like Mustains voice back in the day. Plus hes immature and insulted Metallica childishly recently. He sounded heavier on this album though which caught my interest.
|

And Dragons Kiss...well I'm outside Japan/US (the UK), and I was able to get it - www.guitar9.com has it, and they ship internationally. :thumb: |

please, dont judge a band by the actions of the members. Just listen to the music, that is all that matters. Mustaine had every right to say what he did about Metallica if you have any knowledge of what they did to him you would understand. |
I just *borrowed forever* my friends System has Failed. I love it its a kick behind album.
|
I just *borrowed forever* my friends System has Failed.
 Now go buy the album. |
I'll have to borrow the money from my friend too.
|
what's everyone fav track from the new album?
honestly...my vote goes with "die dead enough" and which ones would you like to hear live? |
^^^Well, I love "Kick The Chair", but other than that I like "The Scorpion". I just got the album and I havent quite heard every single song yet. But I know my favourite will change.
|
both of those are fantastic!! The Scorpion has a killer vocal harmony to it i think, one id love to hear live for sure.
|
heres a new idea for everyone....
What old songs do you think Dave will ressurect for the upcomming tour? i wanna hear "rattlehead" "mary jane" "lucretia" "forclosure of a dream" and "99 ways to die" among many others! |
im hoping to hear.....of course.....Five Magics......and Good Mourning/Black Friday. But Man, if they play Rattlehead, the crowd is gonna be insane!!!
|
Just got System Has Failed. I have decided that Megadeth isn't as horrible as I thought. \m/
|
^^^
i am glad :) what songs changed your mind? |
I was listening to the first song when I posted. Im on the Scorpian now.
|
Tears In A Veil is probably my fave so far.
|
I'd LOVE to hear Five Magics live, and another one I love is Into the Lungs of Hell... The Conjuring too, and Rattlehead would be sick! Also, Victory, I can't get enough of that solo...
Off TSHF I'd have to say that the first three tracks (Blackmail the Universe, Die Dead Enough, and Kick the Chair) are my faves. I'm so glad that Megadeth didn't go the route of Metallca. |
Hi,
I know Megadeth for 2 weeks now and I want to know what their best album is, I already have Rust in peace and I think its pretty good so it would be nice if someone gave some good albums thanks |
^^^
for a great feel of the band, they have had a few different styles of sound in their career...aside from Rust try: 1. killing is my buisness and buisness is good 2. countdown to extinction 3. cryptic writings |
Peace Sells...But Who's Buying? is a good one too.
|

WTF !?!
US TOUR ONLY !?!!?!?!? |
Hi,

You should first buy all the albums from Kill Is mY Buisness through RIP, then Countdown To Extinction and The System Has Failed, and then, and only then, you should very cautiously take a peek at all the other albums, simply cuz they suck. Pre-Youthanasia Megadeth > God Youthanasia and later Megadeth = pure crap Even Dave Mustaine himself claims this is the case |
WTF !?!
US TOUR ONLY !?!!?!?!?
you gotta be kidding |
My favorite is either The Scorpians of Kick the Chair bu Die Dead Enough is coming in quickly.
